OK. Sorry it has taken me 15 Posts to get here, but I think it’s finally Time to Talk a little bit about Your Content. When I first got started here on Instagram, I would find myself spending a LOT of Time trying to put together the “Perfect Post” that would Motivate and Inspire others to Start Planking. I would create a new Image each day that contained Inspirational Messages to Encourage Others to Start Planking. Then I would Post My “Perfect Post”, and Wait for People to Find it… which as it turns out, they Rarely did. 😢

The Truth is that the Vast Majority of People will only spend a couple of Seconds looking at Your Content Each Day. If they see a Complicated Image with lots of Text, or perhaps an hour long IGTV video in their Feed, they are Unlikely to do much more than Like it and move on. 🤓💬 😐

If You want to Grab Someone’s Attention with Your Content, You Need to Keep it Simple and Make it “Interesting”. As it turns out, Creating “Interesting” Content is Actually quite Easy. Think about the things that You are Most Passionate about, and think about what You Believe to be True about them. What do Other People Believe? Are the things that You Believe the Same as what Others Believe? If not, then You have just found Something to Talk about that will be Deemed “Interesting” by the Rest of the World.

How many of You have gotten Comments on Your Posts from Spam Accounts that are Promoting another Profile that has 10s of Thousands of Users? These comments always say something like “You’re Amazing and just what we’re looking for! DM your photos to us for Promotion!”. Or else they will ask you to Contact them for a “collab”. 🤖💬 🤔

Want to get Blocked by Me? There is no Quicker way than to leave one of these types of Comments on My Posts. Whenever I get one of these, I first go Block the account that they are Promoting, and then I Block the Spam Account that left the Comment. I don’t care if they Liked My Post or Followed Me… if they Spam My Comments, they’re gone. 🤖❤️💬 😠

In fact, I will even Block these accounts when I encounter them on Other People’s Posts. I figure that by doing so, I have just prevented them from Finding Me and Leaving their Self-Serving Spam on My Posts. There are LOTS of these types of Accounts, and the people who Create them are always Creating more, so it can seem Futile to try to get rid of them, but I can assure You that it is not. 🤖💬 🤖💬 🤖💬 😠🤬😢

Just like anything else worth Doing in Life, You have to start somewhere and take small steps every day if You want to Achieve Your Goals. It is probably impossible to completely rid yourself of Spammers, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth it to Try. 🤖💬🚫 😃

Blocking these types of accounts will automatically Remove their Comments from Your Posts, and Prevent them from coming back and doing it again. This keeps Your Comments Clean and Relevant for anyone who happens to be Reading them, and Helps make Your Comments a Place where Your Followers will want to Hang Out and Meet one another. 😃🤝😃

So Please don’t send Your Photos to these accounts for Promotion, or Reply to their Comments on Your Posts. Let’s Work Together to Rid Ourselves of Spam! 🤖💬🚫 😉🙏✨🎱™️

Your Personal Brand should Reflect the thing (or things) that You are Most Passionate about Doing with Your Time. Perhaps You are an Artist, or perhaps You Enjoy Doing Volunteer Work… Your Passions are the things that Make You Feel Happy and Fulfilled in Your Life. Figure Out what these things are, and then Try to Sum them up into a Single Word or Phrase. 🤔💭 ❓🎨❓🏀❓✈️

For Me, My Greatest Passions are Planking and Respect. I list Planking first because it is what Brought Me to Instagram, but in Truth I my Greater Passion lies in Sharing My Understanding of Respect with the World. I Believe that Understanding Respect is the Key to the Game of Life, so the Word that I have Chosen to Represent My Personal Brand, is “Respect”. 🤔💭 😃💡 🎱™️

As You already Know by now, a Picture is Worth a Thousand Words. So Your Next Step should be to Choose a Symbol (or Logo) that Represents You and Your Personal Brand. Your Symbol should be Simple and Easily to Recognize. A good place to Start is by Browsing through the Emoji Keyboard. I think that there are Many People out there who would Answer that they are Striving for Fame and Fortune. We have All heard Stories of Influencers making Boatloads of Money for Posting Pictures of their Glamorous Lives and there are Many out there who want to Chase this Dream. 🤑💭💰🛩🍾

But I Believe that if YOU want to Succeed here on Instagram (or Anywhere really), Fame and Fortune CANNOT Be Your WHY. Fame and Fortune are Purely SELFISH Motivations that Only Benefit Yourself. 🤑💰💰💰 😨😱😢

Your Purpose is ALWAYS to Be a Part of Something that is Bigger than Yourself, which Means that Fame and Fortune can NOT Be Your Purpose. To Find Your Purpose, You MUST Follow Your Heart, and Do More of the Things that Make You Happy. But Above all Else, You MUST Look Outside of Yourself and Think about what YOU Want to Be Known for in This World. 🤔💭 🔥🌎😃✨

OK, so even though Anne is talking about “Businesses” here, the Concepts that we have been Discussing in this Series of Posts are all Universal in Nature and as such, I Believe that the above definition of “Alignment” is applicable to ANY Group of People who are trying to Work Together to Accomplish a Goal. 🤴😀🤨😬🤠 -> 🏆

I decided to give the Wide Arm Plank a try outside this evening so that I could do it on a less slippery surface and try to see how Wide/Low I could go. 😉🙏🔥

This was my best attempt, but before you go getting too Impressed, I did NOT hold this position for a full minute. I was only in it for 5-6 seconds while I was taking each photo. 🤔😂😉

In “Aligned Autonomy”, Henrik argues that Alignment and Autonomy are NOT actually the Opposite Ends of the Same Scale as Many People Believe, but they are in Fact actually 2 Separate and Independent Concepts, though they are Related in a Very Important Way.

Alignment “Enables” Autonomy, which Means that Alignment is the More Important of the 2 to Focus on, because Doing so will Inherently Lead to Greater Autonomy. One could Argue that Alignment is a Prerequisite for achieving True Autonomy.

I Believe that this is True for ANY Group of People (😐🤴😐😐😐) that is Working Together to try to Accomplish Some Objective (🏆). This could be a Team of People at Work, or it could be a group of Students in a School. It could be a Group of Volunteers at a Food Bank, a Political Campaign, or even just You and Your Family sitting there at home right now. 🤯

As a Leader, Your Goal is to Motivate and Inspire Your Team to Accomplish Some Objective. You Know that Autonomy is an Intrinsic Motivator, so You want to Give Your Team as much Autonomy as Possible. Autonomous Teams are Happy Teams and Happy Teams tend to Accomplish their Objectives More Quickly and Often with Better Results. You also now Know that the Way to grant the team Autonomy is through Alignment, so I suppose We had better Focus on Exactly what that Word Means when We pick this back up again Tomorrow...

Most People seem to Believe that there must be a Trade-off between Alignment and Autonomy. As Henrik says, they see them as 2 ends of the same Scale. But is this Really True…?
