UPDATE on Golf Course Conditions
1/28/2026 - 3:30pm

Valued Golfers,

Our Golf Course Maintenance team just completed taking all the tarps off the greens. Besides being a little damp, no damage occurred. A big Thank You goes out to their hard work before and after our Arctic Blast!

We're happy to report that all 18 holes and facilities will be open on Thursday, January 29th at 7:00 A.M. We will be restricted to Cart Paths only tomorrow and reassess on Friday morning.

Update on Golf Course Conditions
January 27th - 1:20 pm

Valued Golfers,

We were hoping to begin taking the Tarps off the greens today. Unfortunately, Our Golf Course Maintenance team had to abort the task. The tarps are still covered with too much ice and snow, making them too heavy to move. The forecast tomorrow is showing sunshine and temperatures rising above freezing around 9:00 A.M. We hope to have enough thawing out today, so that we may start tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, mid-morning. If our plan comes together, the front nine (9) may be open mid-afternoon. We're aiming for returning to normal on Thursday, with all 18 holes open for play.

The Golf Shop will be open tomorrow at 8:00 A.M. There will be another update posted tomorrow at noon. Thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor the situation.

Lago Vista Golf Course Update
Monday, January 26, 2026 - 6:20 pm

Weather conditions are improving, and we are planning to begin removing tarps from the greens tomorrow by noon. At this time, we anticipate having at least the front nine open for play by Wednesday morning, pending final course conditions.

Please note:
-All golf course facilities will remain closed tomorrow
-The Golf Shop will reopen at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday

We appreciate everyone’s patience as our maintenance team works carefully to protect the greens and prepare the course for safe play. Additional updates will be shared as conditions allow.

Valued Golfers,

Due to incoming freezing weather, Lago Vista Golf Course will close for play at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 23. The Driving Range will close at 3:00 p.m., and the Golf Shop will close at 4:00 p.m. This schedule allows our Golf Course Maintenance team adequate time to properly cover and protect the greens.

The course and facilities are expected to remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, pending weather conditions.

This proactive closure is necessary to preserve turf health and ensure the best possible playing conditions once temperatures rise and it is safe to reopen.

We appreciate your understanding as we take these necessary precautions to protect the course. Please stay tuned for updates, as reopening is weather dependent. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you back on the tee soon.
