Hi gang! This is a reminder for those who did not receive the announcement email in the club newsletter. Jonathan Cohen from New Orleans Fencers Club has reached out to us with a small but important favor so to speak. This August from 22nd through 24th is the first of two CC Open events in New Orleans. This is the fencing equivalent of "Superbowl" for our (LA) division and Jonathan is trying to make both of them a success.

With that in mind he has asked any and all members of Escrime d’Acadie who are intending to compete in the tournament to sign up as early as possible as this will attract a lot more out of division and out-of-state competitors thus making it a better event, and improving it’s profile.

Being that DIV III is mandatory the fencer pool is a bit scattered and you can check-in with Jonathan to see what will happen if any event does not have a sufficient number of fencers.

If you have any questions, you can direct them to Jonathan Cohen ([email protected]). He is quick to respond and tries his best to help fencers. Otherwise you can reach out to me (Igor O.), DK Hebert Photography (David Hebert), and of course coach Phillip Dugas with any questions.

This is Patrick Prejean. He is one of our most dedicated and longest serving fencers and a local artist who has been accepted into the ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY OF MUSIC. That's Right! Pretty Awesome!
