Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis Louisiana’s 2015-16 campaign saw the Ragin Cajuns' finish 17-11 and defeat nationally-ranked North Florida (No. 66) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (No. 65).

The Cajuns were points away from pulling off the upset against No. 35-ranked Drake University at home. The Ragin' Cajuns finished third overall at the HEB Invitational defeating host TAMU-CC. Academically, the Ragin' Cajuns received the ITA All Academic Team Award for the sixth year in a row posting a 3.2 team grade point average. The Cajuns finished the spring 2016 semester with a 3.57 team GPA a

nd Will Huyton, Michael Kritzinger, Vlad Kramarov, and Jake Wynan were named ITA All Academic for the 2015-16 season. This coming season, Louisiana added five freshman to the roster, with the recruiting class ranked 15th nationally among mid-major programs. New signees Silvio Monoc-Cocito (a Louisiana native and four-star recruit), Australians Jamie Fraser (No. 3 nationally in the 16-and-under division) and Pearse Dolan (No. 75 in the Australian Open rankings), Rob Reynolds from New Zealand (No. 2 junior in the 18-and-under division) and Victor Liope, the top-ranked junior in France.

“It will be a great journey to see these guys come together and put it all on the line each and every day," Mark Jeffrey (Head Coach) said. "We are taking it one day at a time, but I want to see us get back into the rankings this year and stay top 75 for the entire year that is one of the main goals, if we do that then we will compete for a Sun Belt title.”
