Greetings golfers, it’s that time of the year that most golf course in the south perform a greens aerification. This is the process of punching holes in the green and top dress with sand. All for the overall health and performance of the most important part of the golf course. The date is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19, 20. The golf course will be CLOSED on those days to complete the task.

Greetings golfers, The Wetlands recently hosted the LHSAA State High School Golf Championship. Division 1 and 3 played at The Wetlands. Winners in Division 1 were Jesuit and the Winners in Division 3 were Ascension Episcopal. We had great weather and great golf over the two days! Special thanks to Thomas Eschete, superintendent and staff for the great condition of the golf course!

La. Wildlife & Fisheries, Saturday, April 25. All day tournament. Course will be Closed to the General Public.

Happy Mardi Gras and greetings golfers, The Wetlands Golf Course recently hosted the Robert W. Boudreaux Memorial Golf Tournament. The event was an 18 hole individual stroke play High School Team Championship. Schools from all over the state competed. In all there were 131 golfers! See results below.

Beginning today, November 24, 2025, veterans with a valid military ID will receive 25% off weekday green fees at all LCG municipal golf courses — Lafayette Muni Golf Course, The Wetlands Golf Course, and Les Vieux Chenes Golf Course.

This discount, made possible through a new ordinance unanimously approved by the Lafayette City Council, reflects LCG’s commitment to accessibility, affordability, and supporting the wellness of our veteran community.
