We are incredibly grateful to the Baton Rouge Kingfish for not only recognizing what we’re building, but choosing to stand beside us as we work to grow women’s hockey in South Louisiana.

Today’s jersey swap was about so much more than jerseys. It was about community, partnership, and the future of hockey in Louisiana.

From Baton Rouge to Lafayette and everywhere in between, there is room for this sport to GROW. And we’re just getting started. 🔥🏒

We seriously cannot say THANK YOU enough to everyone who showed up for Bayou Women’s Hockey today!!

Our ladies played their HEARTS OUT against Acadiana Veterans Hockey. Every shift, every battle, every puck, we left it all on the ice, and we could not be prouder of how far this team has come. 💪🏽

To every single person who came out to cheer us on, THANK YOU. Hearing y’all from the stands, seeing familiar faces around the rink, and feeling that support means more to us than you probably realize. 🫶🏼

To our volunteers, the people behind the scenes, the ones helping us keep everything moving, THANK YOU. None of this happens without people willing to give their time and energy to help us build something special. 💜

And to Acadiana Veterans Hockey, THANK YOU. For sharing the ice with us, supporting what we’re building, sharing opportunities to play, and being part of this crazy little hockey community with us. We genuinely would not be anywhere near where we are today without y’all. 💙

When we started this, we had a dream of creating a place for women to learn hockey, grow, compete, and find a community on the ice.

Days like TODAY remind us that it’s actually happening! 🥹🏒

We love our Acadiana Veterans Hockey rink besties dearly… but tomorrow morning? Friendship is temporarily suspended. 😂 The chirps are already flying, the bragging rights are on the line, and we’re ready to settle it on the ice.
