Ignite athletes were EVERYWHERE this weekend. 🔥

From first-time competitions to world stages, judo mats to jiu jitsu tournaments and even the wrestling ring — our crew showed up.

🥇 Drake Pellegrin — First-ever judo competition: 1st in 90kg Novice, 2nd in Open & 3rd in 90kg Senior

🥉 Deontre Plumbar — 3rd in 73kg Novice judo

🥈 Islam Ibrahim — 2nd in 90kg Senior judo

🥇 Chacho Peterson — 1st in Heavyweight Purple Belt at the Acadiana Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

🌎 Caleb Berry— Competed at IBJJF World Masters in Vegas and picked up a win

🌎 Robbie Stevens— Stepped onto one of the biggest stages in the sport at IBJJF World Masters

🤼 Mateo Cantu — Picked up the win for LWA

🔥 Riah Baker — Fought a hard match for LWA and had the whole place behind her

The vision for our new space goes way beyond a bigger gym!🔥

We’re creating a place in Lafayette where adults can train, recover, work, decompress, and connect — all under one roof.

We want Ignite to be another option for connection — one that doesn’t have to revolve around going to a bar, drinking, eating out, or staying up late.

A place where taking care of yourself and having a social life don’t have to be two separate things.

The mission is still Live Younger, Longer.

We are officially relocating to a massive new facility at 6413 Johnston Street!📍

We’ve completely outgrown our current space, and this move is built entirely around giving you a top-tier training experience. Here is a quick look at what’s coming:

​• 3x the floor space for more equipment, turf, and zero crowding.

​• A brand new Recovery Center for post-workout mobility and cold/heat therapy.

​• Upgraded gear and functional training zones.

Islam competed at the USA Veterans Open Judo Tournament in Houston, stepping up to the 90kg division for the first time — and doing it without having to cut weight.

The biggest win? Feeling the difference in his conditioning and cardio when it was time to compete. 💪

He came home with some hardware, some tough rounds, and even got to test himself against a third-degree black belt.

Proud to see our athletes continue to challenge themselves, compete, and put their training to work outside the gym.

Congrats, Islam! 👏🔥
