It’s time for our second annual “SHARK SCIENCE MONTH!” We can’t wait to celebrate with different events around the Lowcountry this July. Stay tuned for more details about each event coming to our website. Attend three or more to be entered in a raffle for a CFA gift card! 🎟️

SCHEDULE:
7/7: Make custom jewelry out of South Carolina’s prehistoric past with CFA! We will start with a wire-wrapped necklace class and finish with a custom Morphologie workshop. Registration required– email us to claim your spot or learn more! 💍
7/14: Join us for an hour-long engaging presentation about the Lowcountry’s prehistoric past! Free to attend. Ages 5+ at the Wando Mt. Pleasant Library! 📚
7/17: Drop by Indigo Reef Brewing to have your fossil mysteries solved by Ashby! Think Antiques Roadshow, but for fossils. A brand-new batch of our beer Tiburon will be ready for you to enjoy all night long! 🍻
7/21: Come to Holy City Brewing for our shark themed trivia emceed by Ashby! Test your knowledge of shark biology, sharks in pop culture, sharks in the fossil record and more! You won’t want to miss this grand prize! 😉🦈
7/22: Join us for an hour-long engaging presentation about the Lowcountry’s prehistoric past at the Colleton County Library! 📚

The benefit of having a paleontologist with you on a tour is they help you discover the finds you may have walked right over! On a recent 2 Island Adventure, a client went home with a tooth from an ice age horse (11,000 and 2.5 million years old). Check out the incredible preservation on this find and how Captain Ashby can determine the age of the horse! 🐴

Last week, we celebrated a birthday with an incredible shark tooth discovery! 🥳 This 24-30 million year old fossil came from the front part of the shark’s jaw. Watch to learn how Captain Ashby can determine this and to learn more about this find!

Will this shark tooth be complete? 🤔 Watch to see this recent discovery of an ancestor of the Megalodon shark! This shark was swimming around the Lowcountry 24-30 million years ago and the fossil is heading home with one lucky client!
