To tie in our chip timing to your event we provide a high quality finish line with digital scrolling LED marquees that are able to be switched to a race timer when it gets close to the start of your event! Having provided services for weddings and other events we decided to offer our equipment and expertise to have a full service DJ and announcing option available for your event, and we can even have a team of photographers available to take pictures to save the memories for years to come. Guess who “ran” a 6k today??? I trained for a 5k…and that extra 1k was a killer! (Who am I kidding - I haven’t trained for a race in 20 years! I wung it.)

OMG…the hills! Lol. (Graph below was the grade during the race.)

I just have to say it sucked while doing it and my only motivation was thinking about everyone we time through the year just seeing how happy they are at the finish! Once I finished it felt great and I forgot how bad it hurt doing!

I want to thank everyone on the Racing Expectations team that made this weekend possible! We had 5 events spread out across northern Illinois.

Elizabeth Aguzino Reynolds in Woodhaven.
Rammy Ramada flying in from Aruba to be in DeKalb.
Phil Taylor and Alex Taylor in Walnut for the Run for ALS.

Shout outs to Jeremy Martin with Patrishi Sports Aruba for remote support and always to my dad Jim Taylor for the bib work.

Weather caused a great amount of issues with equipment, postponing and cancellations - but we put the busiest single day in our 12 year history in the books! The weekend was well deserved!

Congrats to all of the participants and fundraising over this holiday weekend!

We want to congratulate all the participants of this years SRC race series: 5k, 10k, HM and Marathon! This is truly a special event for us to be involved with and thank Matt Skelly and his team of volunteers to make this event possible! Ottawa and the surrounding communities appreciated the 1,000 registered participants and their families to our community!
