KEYS 100 Ultramarathon RACE DAY RECAP 🏃♀️🔥On Sunday, May 17, 2026 I completed my 5th consecutive KEYS100 finish in 30:58:55 🏁🔥
“It’s amazing how quickly your brain forgets 30 hours of suffering. The second you cross the finish line you’re already saying, ‘I can’t wait to do this again… when does registration open?’” 🤦♀️🤣I absolutely love the KEYS100 heat, community, and island vibe. The second this race ends I’m already counting down the days until the next one. ❤️🌴
100 miles.Florida heat.Humidity.Zero aid stations.100% runner self-supported.Miles of fun and gorgeous views!
Huge thank you to my husband Sal for solo crewing me for almost 31 hours straight without sleep while surviving my “controlled chaos” ice bags and flask refills, electrolyte demands, NASCAR-style pit stops, and social media live streaming/texting/photo duties. 😂❤️ None of this would be possible without him. Oh, and after crewing me for almost 31 hours straight… Sal still drove us 2 hours back to Key Largo. The man is truly a GOAT. 🐐😂
One of the coolest parts of ultrarunning is the community. Seeing familiar faces year after year, meeting new runners, learning from others, and suffering together somehow creates the best friendships. 😂❤️
Huge thank you as well to the KEYS100 race director Bob Decker, staff, volunteers, course marshals, medical team, local businesses, and the incredible ultra community that makes this race so special year after year. 🙌
And yes… the blisters showed up around mile 40 AGAIN. 🤦♀️🤣 Meanwhile at the same time my stomach decided it no longer believed in food, gels, or chews. Eventually Coke, ginger ale, DripDrop, pickle juice and a buttered bagel at mile 80 became the MVPs of the race. All things I never eat or drink.🥤🥒😂
Huge congrats to my Jersey run buddies:🏃♂️ Guy Ewen — 5th consecutive KEYS100 finish in 31:02:16 …and shoutout to his amazing crew, wife Andrea and daughter Analise, for helping get him to that finish line. Crew members are the real MVPs of these races. ❤️👏🏃♀️ Brielle Pavase — PR 12:05:09 + 1st Female 30-34 in the 50 miler 🔥🏃♀️ Omaha, NE buddy Hunna Watson — absolutely crushed her first KEYS100 in 25:04:23
Still learning.Still chasing.Still counting down the days until the next KEYS100. 🌴🔥One day that sub-30 finish is coming. 👀⏱️
