As we officially close the book on 12U and get ready for the next chapter, itโs hard not to look back and appreciate just how much this group accomplished.
When the Warriors entered 12U, we made a decision.
We werenโt going to chase the easiest schedule.
We werenโt going to measure success simply by how many trophies we could collect.
We were going to ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐ฌ.
That meant moving into Majors baseball, traveling across Texas, seeking out strong tournaments, and intentionally putting them on the field against nationally ranked programs.
The message to the boys was simple:
๐๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ฅ๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ, ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ก๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ฅ๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ.
And they never backed down.
There were wins. There were losses. There were championships and heartbreakers. There were games where everything clicked and others that exposed exactly what we needed to work on.
But every tournament sharpened this team.
Every difficult opponent taught us something.
And every time these boys were challenged, they went back to work.
By the end of 12U, they werenโt trying to prove they belonged anymore.

And throughout the year, Warrior players ๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ-๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ for hitting and pitching, along with Tournament MVPs, MVP Pitcher awards, Players of the Game, Team of the Week honors, and other individual recognition.
But maybe one of the accomplishments weโre most proud of came from the type of competition these boys were willing to face.
The Warriors repeatedly lined up against nationally ranked teams โ including teams ranked #๐, #๐, #๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐ก๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฌ โ because thatโs where we believed the growth would happen.
Sometimes we won.
Sometimes they were better that day.
But our boys learned that they could stand on the same field and compete.
And eventually, other people started noticing too.

Those accomplishments are special.
But the numbers, trophies, rankings, home runs, and awards still arenโt what weโll remember most about 12U.
Weโll remember the growth.
Weโll remember watching boys learn how to compete through adversity.
Weโll remember comeback wins, extra-inning championships, diving catches, big pitches, home runs, long weekends in Houston, practices after tough losses, and teammates celebrating each otherโs successes.
Weโll remember a group of boys that continued to raise the standard for one another.

Thank you for the countless practices, road trips, hotels, early mornings, late nights, missed weekends, and sacrifices you made to give these boys these opportunities. None of this happens without the commitment of our families.
