As a pitcher, you got to handle the pressure! π Read below for some tips π§
3 Tips to handle the pressure:
1) Breath: physically your body will rise in blood pressure and faster breathing which translates to faster and more thinking. Here Breathing exercise you can do in 20 seconds that will help slow down your body and mind. Breath in slowly and count to 5 then breath out slowly for 5 seconds. Do this two times before you set up to pitch again when things get tough. Remember the game is on your pasteπ to get maximum results to practice the breathing exercise at home and clear your head when you do it πͺ
2) Except for the situation and forget the past. In other words, be in the moment π€ focus on the current pitch you need to execute. The game is played one pitch at a time and your mind needs to align with it. Every pitch changes the situation, so make sure after every pitch you focus on the next pitch and acknowledge the situation to best address it.
3) Have fun: π€ͺ When you make it a point to have fun while competing the stress level and worthiness is reduced thus you are in more control of your mind and body
4) Remember that every situation gives us an opportunity, in this situation I saw it as an opportunity to prove that I can stay in the game and finish strong. I hate being taken out mid-innings so I saw this as a way for my coach to have more trust in me π
