Let’s be honest: January 1st through the 4th was just a trial subscription. Between the leftover holiday fudge, the "what day is it?" pajamas, and the vacation brain, most of us weren't exactly living our peak fitness lives. But today? Today is the first Monday of the year. The alarm went off, the coffee is working overtime, and reality has officially entered the chat.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when the "holiday high" fades and the routine sets back in. But here’s the good news: Your health is not a resolution; it’s a stewardship. # # # Why We Train In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are reminded that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. It's been almost a year since our last post! Despite popular opinion... posting on social media isn't all that important.
Over the last year we've had some AMAZING things happen:

We got certified and specialize in Women's Coaching.
We move to a temporary center with lots of space!
We developed a coaching app!
We began our Nutrition Studies.
We got BAPTIZED (thank you Jesus)!
We Moved back to our Newly Remodeled space.
We Bought new equipment to really build strength.
We came full circle and brought back the class that started it all...

Yep were talking bread! Bread from scripture.

Ezekiel 4:9 KJV

“Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.”

We know many people fear carbs and especially bread.
We’re not here to today to convince you otherwise. But if you want to eat some nutrient dense whole grain bread with ingredients that match the scripture above, there is a brand found in your freezer section of most local grocery stores called Ezekiel 4:9.

No we aren’t affiliated with them (we promise-they have no idea who we are!) we just love their dedication to the lord and food.

Its not your typical bread, so expect some differences. Its frozen, it costs more, and has a less refined taste and effect on the body the lord gave you to care for.

Commitment. It's not just about you.

Recently joined a new church, went through orientation and learned about commitment. Commitment to show up, to be active, to get to know one another, to trust, have faith and a million other perfect reasons how and why commitment is important.

For many years, commitment seemed to be just about the commitment we made for ourselves. It's really easy to break commitment when you're the only one who matters.

When you commit to our PAC (or any other program) you commit to yourself, the instructor who spends countless hours of their day preparing for you, you commit to the others in the group because it matters if you're there. You become part of the foundation that helps every one grow. So show up. Late, grumpy, tired, sore, sad, a hot mess, we don't care. We're all here for each other.

THAT'S HOW IMPORTANT YOU ARE. 😘

Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for what you ate. It’s more than just “burning calories”.

It's one of the amazing ways we can help ourselves stay healthy, get stronger for every day life, eliminate some pains associated with aging, and help stay away from some chronic disease.

Tip: if you really really want to burn calories or “exercise off” that food you feel guilty about eating then here's a winter tip for you. Shivering can burn approx. 400-500 Calories per hour. So feel free to go outside in your summer gear and shiver away!

BUT, we don't recommend any of that! We don’t recommend feeling guilty about food, we don’t recommend punishing yourself with exercise (as this builds a resistant relationship with you and daily movement), and we don’t recommend playing in freezing temps for the sake of burring calories. Come inside, you’ll catch a cold out there.

Strength training is empowering.

Strength training makes you feel great.

Strength training builds you up, mentally and physically.

What’s the point in using a kettlebell?

Training Kettlebell training is one of the most unique forms of strength and aerobic training. The design of the kettlebell allows for unique muscular-skeletal movements that are not achievable using traditional equipment.

These unique movements provide the obvious benefits of increased muscular strength and muscular endurance but the latest research indicates that the benefits go well beyond muscular strength and endurance. Although kettlebells have been around for centuries, scientific research into the effectiveness of kettlebell training is still relatively new. Recent studies have focused on quantifying the benefits of kettlebell training in the areas of aerobic capacity, dynamic balance and core strength.

A recent study of kettlebell training indicated an increase in aerobic capacity of 13.8%, increase core strength by 70% and improve overall dynamic balance capabilities.
