Texas Heat 13U Win In Fashion, Walk It Off Versus South Texas Sliders 13U Williams

Texas Heat 13U took Saturday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over South Texas Sliders 13U Williams. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the fifth when Antu singled, scoring one run.

A double by Lizardo on an 0-2 count put Texas Heat 13U on the board in the bottom of the first.

Texas Heat 13U added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Tarlton singled, and Antu grounded out, each scoring one run.

South Texas Sliders 13U Williams tied the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a triple by S, a single by Collin M, and a line out by Case D.

Tarlton began the game for Texas Heat 13U. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Collin started on the bump for South Texas Sliders 13U Williams. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Resendez and B each appeared in relief for Texas Heat 13U.

Antu and Lizardo were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Texas Heat 13U. Lizardo went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Texas Heat 13U in hits. Valenzuela stole two bases. Texas Heat 13U turned one double play in the game.

Collin and S were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for South Texas Sliders 13U Williams. Will D, Collin, and S each collected one hit for South Texas Sliders 13U Williams. Will and Collin each stole multiple bases for South Texas Sliders 13U Williams. South Texas Sliders 13U Williams stole eight bases in the game.
