**COURSE CLOSED FRIDAY**
The golf course has received 8” of rain in the last 48 hours, and as of 5:00 this afternoon we still couldn’t get across any of the bridges on the front nine. We began cleaning up what debris we could get to today, but there is more to get to as the water continues to recede. The water got higher than I have seen in my seven years at the course, but fortunately it does tend to go down relatively quickly. We had four greens, (1,4,5,&8), that were completely under water for some period of time. As the water has gotten off the greens, it has left behind some silt we will need to get washed off. Due to the high water getting into our pump station, the power to the pumps has been turned off. We should be able to get the power turned back on Friday morning, but we will have to make sure the pumps are safe to operate before we can begin the process of cleaning off the silt on the greens. At this time, we do not anticipate the course being open Friday. We will follow up with another post whenever conditions are acceptable for play. Thank you for your patience.
