Congratulations to our SMDA 2025-2026 Tridents of the Year, Brell B and Lamont S!! 🔱

While Brell and Lamont both had great years athletically, they were chosen because their attitude and heart really represent what it means to be a leader on this team. Always a positive mindset, always setting an example to younger swimmers.

Brell emerged this year as one of our top female swimmers in the Senior age group and it was like seeing potential and hard work come together. She is always so encouraging to everyone else and it’s awesome to see her success!

Lamont has been on a roll this year- State Finalist, first time at Sectionals, Sectionals Finalist. We watched him close out his high school career on a high note and are so happy he will be continuing on and swimming in College. It’s been a joy to have him with us at SMDA!

Congratulations to our SMDA 2025-2026 High Point Swimmers, Audrey P and David E!

Audrey absolutely cruised her way to High Point female this year- in her last 14U state appearance she made finals in six events! By the end of the meet, she had hit a PR and a SENIOR state qualifying time in every single event on her schedule. She followed with four more senior state times in her “off” events at Jr Champs and then closed Short Course season with two finals appearances at ISCA in Florida!

David gained momentum as the season progressed and by MD states it was clear he was going to finish his last year in 14U as our high point male. A PR in every event, finalist in five and a SENIOR state qualifier in two! David also came home from ISCA with hardware. He qualified for finals in two events and was our highest finisher there- 6th place in 50 free!

Amazing season for both!!

Congratulations to our SMDA 2025-2026 Most Improved Athletes, Libby D and Dominic C!

Libby has shown us repeatedly that there’s nothing she can’t do if she puts her mind to it. She started the year new to our Gold group and finished short course in one of the leading lanes. She pulled off a huge time drop to qualify for Jr Champs right after aging up. Her performance has been incredible to watch!

Dominic has been on a rapid incline and this season he really took off. With an average 7.3% improvement across 13 short course events this year, he has shown serious drive and determination to be better every time he swims. He also picked up two team records this year- in the 1000 and 1650!

Bravo!!

Congratulations to our SMDA 2025-2026 Rookies of the Year, Savannah V and Cruz A!

Savannah has, at this moment, been swimming for less than a year! She came to us fresh off her very first season of Summer swim and has totally thrived as a club swimmer. By the end of short course, she was a Maryland state finalist with top 10 finishes in TWO events!! She then came with us down to FL for ISCA and dropped even more time there, holding her own with the fastest kids in the country.

Cruz came to us as a high school swimmer with a lot of potential. He worked hard to integrate into our Elite group- not an easy task! We’re so proud that by the end of short course he achieved a USA A time in his best event (50 fly) and had a massive 14 second drop in his 100 Fly!

Congrats, Rookies!
