REACHING OUT TO OUR PNER FAMILY ON BEHALF OF OUR FELLOW MEMBER SUZY ZURCHER-TOMPKINS - LAVA CAST FOREST MEMORIAL ENDURANCE RIDE
Hoping you all can send some support for our fellow ride manager, ride volunteer and rider Suzy Zurcher-Tompkins. As you all know they have a family medical situation ... her husband Brian has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain cancer/tumor, they have just started radiation and chemotherapy in hopes to give them all more precious time together.
Suzy has been a long standing PNER/AERC member for years and has managed, has volunteered many hours helping so many rides and riders and ridden along side of many of us.
We can help them out now by sending some gift cards to assist with the cost of food and fuel, etc. They will be traveling to Bend 5 days a week for many weeks so access to gift cards would mean so much in helping them out.
VISA gift cards, local grocery store gift cards, etc. - there is a Ray's Market, Grocery Outlet in LaPine and they can shop in Bend at Costco, WalMart and Safeway.
Our favorite ride veterinarians Dr. Cassee Terrie and Dr. Shannon Findley and their clinics are there to assist in the collection of gift cards at their clinics and our new PNER President Darlene Merlich can collect gift cards at the PNER Convention this weekend in Pendleton.
Please make sure to put them in envelopes with Suzy's name and the name of the vet/clinic you are dropping them off at and for Darlene put Suzy's name on the envelope too. We will make sure to collect them up and get them to Suzy and her family. If you are not located in Central Oregon or you are not able to attend the convention and want to send some help her way please message me (Holly Rouska) and I will provide a mailing address.
