Gary Stith - Softball This page is dedicated to the softball years and teams of Gary Stith. I This page is dedicated to the coaching years of Gary Stith.

He began coaching in Whittier Girls Softball in 1974 and is in his 43rd year of coaching. He has coached eighteen years in recreation leagues which include Whittier Girls Softball, La Mirada Girls Softball, Hacienda Heights Girls Softball, Norwalk Girls Softball, and West Whittier Girls Softball. These leagues were part of American Girls Sports Association, Little Miss Girls Softball, Bobby Sox, a

nd Amateur Softball Association. Gary began coaching travel teams in 1984 and has coached for nineteen years. His teams include Mavericks, Case Batbusters, Team Mizuno, and OC Batbsters. These teams were within within American Fastpitch Association, Amateur Softball Association, and Premier Girls Fastpitch. Gary has coached twenty two years at the high school varsity level. His teams include St Paul, California, Whittier, and Atascadero High Schools. For most of his coaching years Gary has coached all year round and many years included multiple teams in rec, travel, and high school.

It is only rec ball and only 10U. But the excitement from these kids last night deserves posting. In a crazy season of 6 wins, 6 loses, and 5 ties, last night they reached the finals of the End of Season Tournament upsetting the #1 seed. Winning the WCWS carries a lot more weight but the excitement in these kids was not far behind. To win the tournament a team from the loser's bracket will have to beat us twice. Last year the team I helped came out of the loser's bracket to win so our work is still cut out for us!!
