The San Diego Growlers are the newest sports team in San Diego as of 2015, and they compete in the American Ultimate Disc League’s (AUDL) Western Division. The team is comprised of world-class athletes from the Southwest Region who love competing in this fast-paced and dynamic sport. Played with a 175 gram flying disc instead of a ball, Ultimate combines the non-stop play of soccer, with elements
of football and basketball to create a truly beautiful and mesmerizing spectator sport. As a team, we want to instill fear in our opponents, and a growling animal represents this feeling perfectly. San Diego also has a large craft beer scene, so the name is also a subtle nod to the 80 plus breweries that exist in the greater San Diego Area. Will Griffin (Owner)
