I’ve never done this before, but they say accountability makes us work harder!
I spent the first 3 months of 2021 trying to add some muscle through my back and chest. I succeeded in adding about 1.5”, but at the same time added about the same amount to my waist.
So for the next six weeks I’m going to cut back down to see how lean I can get! Here are some things I won’t do during my diet:
1: I’m not excluding ANYTHING from my diet. I’m not going keto, or paleo, or vegan, or cutting out bread, or even chocolate or ice cream. In fact I had a kick-ass croissant bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast today!
2: I’m not crash dieting, and won’t eat less than about 2,000 calories per day. My goal is to be between 2000-2200 every day, with about 200g of protein.
3: I’m not adding ungodly amounts of cardio to my training. In fact, I’ll probably end up doing LESS in my workouts than I did for the first 3 months of the year.
4: Last, I’m not drastically changing my supplements during this cut. I do sometimes increase the amount of caffeine I take in to help with my appetite, but not by more than 30-50%. I’m not taking any fat burners or other diet pills, and I’m not cutting out my creatine.
Thanks for reading! I look forward to posting my “after” photos on Transformation Tuesday, 5/18.
