Another Amazing Day at the Beach Event for Y Strong Girls. Y Strong Girls is a program designed to empower young girls through leadership development, mentorship, and community service. Building confidence and positive self-esteem are key aspects of the program, which aims to help girls develop into strong, compassionate leaders. The program is offered at no cost to participants and is specifically designed for girls aged 13-18 from underserved neighborhoods '.
The Y Strong Girls program focuses on developing leadership and communication skills, recognizing healthy relationships, and setting boundaries. Participants also engage in activities that promote stress management, resilience, and nutrition. The program creates a safe space for girls to connect, grow, and discover their strength!
The Windansea Surf Club recently hosted a

Windansea, Tomorrow Y-STRONG Girls — Saturday, May 30, 2026 — at La Jolla Shores Beach/Park kicks off our first “Day at the Beach” with the Y-Strong Girls, and we are looking for volunteers to help make it an unforgettable day for these amazing girls!
This is also a fantastic opportunity for WSC Members-in-Process to fulfill community service membership requirements while giving back to the community and sharing the spirit of surfing.
📍 Location: La Jolla Shores Beach/Park
📅 Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Volunteer Schedule:
⏰ 7:00 AM — Set-up volunteers needed
☕ 7:00–7:30 AM — Coffee donations appreciated (reimbursement available)
🏄 8:00 AM — Surf instructors arrive
🌊 8:45 AM — The girls arrive to surf
🧹 1:30 PM — Take-down volunteers needed
