HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES DAY!
Being a coach is about so much more than what happens during practice or on the sidelines on game day.
Our coaches give up weeknights and weekends. They continue their education, plan sessions, set up fields, move goals, pick up equipment, paint lines, cut grass and collect litter.
They listen when players need someone. They talk with families. They celebrate the good days and help players through the difficult ones. They take responsibility for developing not only better soccer players, but confident young people who hopefully learn to love this game as much as we do.
Most of it happens quietly, long before the first whistle and after everyone else has gone home.
Today we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our Celtics coaches for the time, energy and care you give to our players, families, club and community.
You are more than a coach, and the impact you make goes far beyond the field.
