La Grande Icerink

La Grande Icerink BUILDING an indoor ice rink year round Our mission is to build a year round ice and event center. With five surrounding counties, we would support 123,000.

We would include a floor topping to put on the ice for events not needing ice. We are in a perfect location on I-84 between the Americans in Tri-Cities and Steelheads in Boise. And locally are population is about 33,000. We also have a university. We have a former WSHL player from Canada who teaches hockey who would be willing to coach. We believe that having an aicerink here would help build our

tourism plus make La Grande a fun place to live. the programs that an icerink can offer are huge. Hockey, figure skating public, basic learn to skate program. parties concerts and many other events that our venue could offer with the floor we will have toput on the ice for programs that don't need ice but eliiminate need ti melt doiwn ice.

Our mission is to convert the run down tennis court at Pioneer Park into a multi-sport court. We hope this is a first step toward an ice rink. Our sport court will include Inline hockey, Floor Hockey, Broom Ball, Roller Derby, Hand Ball or just bring your inline or regular quad skates and skat...
