Cody Pfennig, alongside Ryan Sauter, will be presenting on behalf of the association as we seek funding to purchase additional mite equipment. Our goal is to continue lowering barriers to entry, introduce more local kids to hockey, and to keep growing community hockey in La Crosse.

❤️🖤💛We need your votes!! Come down and support RCYH by voting for our pitch to receive a community grant and enjoy delicious soup at the same time!🏒

La Crosse SOUP is a community microgranting dinner where attendees receive soup, bread, and a vote with a $5 donation.
Four local projects present, and attendees vote on which project receives the evening’s funding.

Reminder! 📣 Join us this Wednesday at 5PM to support our team at La Crosse SOUP! Your vote and presence can make a huge difference in helping us receive funding for our players and program. The more supporters we have there, the better our chances! We’d love to see our hockey family show up strong — thank you for supporting our team! 🏒🔥

Our second pitch comes from River City Youth Hockey Association - La Crosse Flames

They are seeking to buy 10 new mite (8U) gear sets so every skater continues to have safe, reliable equipment. RCYH ensures all youth can participate regardless of socioeconomic circumstances. Many of their young skaters rely on RCYH-provided gear and scholarships to play, and at least 10 sets must be replaced each season. Safe, quality gear supports a fun and encouraging environment. They will purchase the gear over the summer and distribute it in early October when the 2026-27 season opens. They are asking $2,600 for these sets.

Each set includes:
• Bag — $40
• Helmet w/ cage — $45
• Pants — $60
• Shins — $40
• Elbows — $30
• Shoulder pads — $45
