Fun fact. Before starting out in the wonderful world of paddle making I worked as a cook. Which was very fitting because growing up I was always the quiet kid in the kitchen helping out my mom with meals and cleaning. Being from a big family I learned that was the best way to get the biggest servings! Also, my mom is one hell of a cook and I'm a bit of a momma's boy. So it was only a matter of time before I officially started making pieces of nostalgia for me. Keep your eyes peeled for a new line of goods to be used in the comforts of your own kitchen or while you are out and about on trail.

That magical feel is amplified 10 fold when you are able to get the feel of the paddle and canoe with your dad on Father's Day. I hope that everyone especially all of those hard working dads were able to and spend it with those whom they love.

We combed the largest paddle-sports expo in the country to find some of the most exciting new canoe, kayak, and SUP products for 2017.

Paddling in the winter is such a different experience than in the summer. There is a silence in the woods that makes it feel like time has stopped. All you hear is the running of the water and the paddle in the water. It is one of my favorite times to be out there. It's always important to pack some dry clothes and I always bring a little firewood in case of an emergency. And it's just nice to warm up by a fire.
