JV Conference is this Thursday, February 26th at Sunburst Ski Hill. The End of Season Banquet is Tuesday, February 24th at 7 pm at Shorewood Intermediate School.

A great way for Ryan Optekar to close out his high school ski racing career with a strong finish in Super G. In the overall standings Ryan finished 19th out of 153 athletes. Big shout-outs to Coach Jack, Matt, and Grace!!

Ryan Optekar will compete this weekend at the Wisconsin State High School Ski & Snowboard Championships at Mt. La Crosse Ski & Snowboard. He races slalom on Sunday and then GS and Super G on Monday. Warm temps are forecasted and will make for challenging conditions for the athletes while spectators work on their tan.

Congrats to both of our JV Teams qualifying for JV Conference which will be held on Thursday, February 19th at Sunburst. Inspection at 4:30 pm and the racing starts at 5 pm.

Senior Ryan Optekar earned Honorable Mention All-Conference Honors. Ryan races on February 15th and 16th (Sunday and Monday) at the WIARA Ski and Snowboard State High School Championships at Mt. La Crosse.

Closing out the season and senior night in style with a team W for the Varsity Boys; a 2nd place team finish for the Varsity Girls; several Top 5 finishes; and a podium. Thank-you parents for all of your volunteering and support all season! Thanks to our coaches for fun and successful season.

The Varsity Boys (Ryan Optekar, Hayden Summ, Brogan Roberts, Hunter Rauen, Calvin Marks, and Jack Korducki) notched a W in their last competition of the season with some great racing. Ryan had another 2nd place podium finish and Hayden (4th) and Brogan (5th) were also in the top 5. Both Hunter and Calvin finished in the Top 10. The Varsity Girls had a 2nd place team finish with Sydney Pringle in 5th and Maia Pawar finishing 7th.

Julianna Pierri finished 3rd overall in the JV Girls race and Jaxson Radobicky finished 4th in the JV Boys race. Congrats to all of the student-athletes on a great season.

We are still waiting on results to see if either the boys or girls qualified for JV Conference. It’s Senior Night at Little Switzerland tonight - Wednesday, February 4th. Racing starts at 6 pm. Come celebrate our amazing seniors: Julianna Pierri, Sydney Pringle, Maria Martinelli, Maya Skoien, Hayden Summ, Quinn Bork, and Ryan Optekar.

Ski Team Banquet tonight as we said goodbye to our amazing seniors who raced for the team all 4 years: Marigold O’Connor, Claire Pielmeier, Julia Dufek, and Anna Glaisner.

Thanks to coaches Jack, Matt, and Grace for an amazing season. Thank-you parents for all of your support and volunteering at all of our races.
