Updated map of the former shotgun zone with hunting permit area overlay. This should be a great research opportunity to study doe harvest rates, buck age class, success rates, and hunter satisfaction. Hopefully the MNDNR starts tracking some more useful data so we can make more informed deer management decisions!

Our testimony on this was focused around the increase in range resulting in a higher buck harvest which could be problematic.

Results from the SE MN Highschool trap tournament. Lancer Clay Target team final got their chance to put their tag on the traveling trophy. Lutheran Onalaska took home medals along with Holmen taking a first place in 11th grade as well. The duck award was given as well. Two hens that is.

Tuesday March 3rd at 6:00 P.M., there will be a meeting regarding the use of rifles for deer hunting at the Houston County Criminal Justice Center. Our club is in favor of allowing the use of rifles for deer hunting and encourage our membership to show up and voice their opinion.

Thank you to all those that support our club!

We look forward to our Annual Dinner tomorrow night, the bar and raffles opens at 5.
