MW Report 4/18/24
We are closed for the winter season and had a fantastic snowy Sunday for our last day. Thank you to the Mt. Waterman crew, Cal Trans and everyone who helped get us up and running. There is still MW swag available, go to our website to see what's available and to order. www.mtwaterman.org

Mt Waterman Ski Lifts are the closest day ski area in Los Angleles. We offer three ski lifts for snowboarding and down hill skiing.

There is a storm coming in on Saturday bringing rain and snow, Sunday looks to be clear and ready for some great runs.
Use the alternate route to get to the mountain, directions are on the website and snow phone 818-790-2002.

Waterman Report 4/3/24
We will be OPEN this Sat. 4/6/24 9:30am-4:30pm
​Stay tuned for opening on Sunday, we are trying our best to make it happen. We got about 2 feet of fresh snow last weekend and it is supposed to snow this Friday and be clear on Saturday. We had a great day last Saturday for the few that made it, unfortunately L.A. county closed the road at the Forest Hwy turn sometime in the morning, they assure us it will be open this coming Saturday. Thank you to all who made last Saturday possible and to Cal Trans for doing a great job getting our parking lot and road clear.

Take Hwy 2 from La Canada then go LEFT onto Forest Hwy toward Palmdale then go RIGHT at Upper Big Tujunga then go LEFT at Hwy 2 till you get to Mt. Waterman.
Fill your tank and grab your gear, hope to see you up on the hill.

The alternate route is still in place to get up to the mountain

Waterman Report 3/19/2024
We had a great opening weekend with great snow and lot's of happy people. Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!!
Looks like we will have enough snow to run again this weekend,
Sat 3/23 & Sun. 3/24 9:30am-4:30pm
We had to raise our prices by $10 due to the high cost of everything, check out the website for the changes. There is still the alternate route to get up to the hill, it is posted on the website. We look forward to seeing you up on the hill this weekend. Thank you for all the support.

There is a delay in opening on Saturday 3/16 due to the winds this week. We will be opening Half day on Saturday 12:30pm -4:30pm

WE ARE OPENING!!!!!
We will be OPEN this weekend, March 16th & 17th.
9:30am-4:30pm SAT. & SUN.
Bring your good vibes and wear your green for St. Patty's Day,
the roads are clear of snow, no chains required.
The directions to the mountain have changed.
Take Hwy 2 from La Canada then go LEFT onto Forest Hwy toward Palmdale then go RIGHT at Upper Big Tujunga then go LEFT at Hwy 2, we are 7 miles past Newcombs Ranch.
Check the website for prices, we accept credit cards and cash only, there is no internet on the mountain. We will have a limited menu and no lessons available this weekend. Remember to fill your tank before you come up, there are no gas stations on Hwy 2.
The snow is great and we look forward to seeing you up on the hill.

Waterman Report 3/7/2024
We have run into some challenges while getting the mountain ready this past weekend. Our phone lines are down and we can not open without communications on the hill for emergency purposes. We are waiting for repairs to happen but it is slow with all the ice and snow on top. We got 4-6 inches of more snow this week and will keep you updated. The lifts will be closed this weekend. The roads are open by way of forest highway to upper big Tujunga to highway 2.

There is a storm coming in on Saturday. We will be working this weekend on clearing snow and getting chair 2 and 3 dug out. Lifts will be closed. We are doing the best we can so we can get the mountain open soon. The roads are open by way of forest highway to upper big Tujunga to highway 2.
