Do your kids need a night off? Do they just want to cut loose and have fun? Play field games outside, eat pizza with a horse or splash around?

Drop 'em off at the barn - take yourself to do adult things - and you'll pick 'em up 3 hours later exhausted and happy.

June 12 and 14 we welcome all toddlers and little kids to the barn!

Stable Sprouts at 10am with your independent walkers up to 30-month old kiddos.

Tiny Trotters at 11:15a.m with your 30-month old to 5 year old kiddos.

During each 45 minute class we participate in fun exercise games to build riding muscles and balance, do an art activity or free play AND meet, brush and enjoy a few steps on a horse (if desired).

$15 for the first child, $10 for siblings.

It is definitely summertime!

Thank you to everyone who came out in the heat to our play group classes this morning and Friday. We love playing with the kiddos and giving them an opportunity to learn developmental skills and meet horses.

Next classes: June 12 (Friday) and June 14 (Sunday). Maybe we will start earlier and play in water. Let me know what you think?

Sunday May 31 we do it again.

Stable Sprouts - a toddler play group for independent walkers to 2.5 (or so) - starts at 10 am. We do developmental activities like walking a balance beam, tossing balls, rolling on barrels, and independent play with water or paint or mud before meeting a horse and learning to brush them and sit on them or even take a short walk on them.

Tiny Trotters is the same but more advanced for ages 2.5 through 5. The bigger kids start at 11:15.

Each 45 minute class costs $15 ($10 for a sibling to join).

Next sessions will be June 12 and 14.

This Friday and Sunday! Join us for Stable Sprouts (ages up to 3) or Tiny Trotters (ages 3 to 5). Come play with us to develop balance and coordination that will help you ride when you're ready. Meet the horses and spend a little personal time with a pony.

Congratulations to Sam and Cofio. They worked hard together at every UDJC show locally this spring season and qualified in two categories for Finals at Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy last week. They could only choose one and opted for the .75 jumps. We could not be more happy for or proud of their partnership and growth together. Four days of competition: 3 jumping rounds and 1 dressage test, ensuring the skills are well rounded.

Meet Mister. He’s a 13 year old pinto who joined our herd about a month ago. He’s just settling in with his new friends and will begin a ground work routine this week. He loves to be groomed and pet, and will likely be a star in our kids activities.

Need summer fun for the kids? Send ‘em to horse camp! They can come for 1 day ($75) or 6 days ($60/day) or as many as you want between June 1-5 and 9-12 in Krum from 9am to 1pm.

They’ll learn how to take care of horses as well as basic riding skills. And they’ll have fun. They’ll come home tired, likely wet, dirty and HAPPY. We have horses of every size and ride both English and Western.
