⭐ Week 4 had a ton of games and picture day! Some teams played up to 3 times this weekend! Good thing we have Labor Day break coming up, I’m sure everyone could use a rest!
⚽ Our U6 teams played on Saturday! These little kids are so much fun! It’s so cool to watch them grow on the field each week! Also, we can’t wait to see what their league photos look like! Have you seen these kids?! They are the cutest!
⚽ U8 MANE EVENT played their hearts out in 3 games this week. Did I mention they were all basically back to back… They took on St. John twice and Munster once. While falling short this week, our U8 division is not about winning or losing… These kids are learning the game of soccer and how to be a team. They are going out, giving it their all, and having fun on the field! Each week they get better and better! The improvements are phenomenal! We can’t wait to see the difference in them from this season to next! You boys make us proud every time you step on the field!
⚽ U10 GALLOPING STORM! This team kinda leaves us speechless week after week! They bring the heat every time they play! This week they WON against PSC Phoenix 8-1! These kids have the skills to place in their division this season! I wouldn't be surprised if they brought home a trophy during the tournament in October! Awesome job Galloping Storm! Keep it up! U10 SOCCER QUEENS for some reason always end up in the rain! They played Munster and Ogden Dunes this weekend. The fight and fire in these girls is unreal! The best part about this team is win or lose they always have fun!
⚽ Ok… We are going to brag a little bit this week because we can't say enough about our U10 MESSI MUSTANGS! This team has been together for 3 years, same players, same coaches. They have battled every single game they played. The last couple of years have been a little rough for them, but this year… They are on FIRE! They are UNDEFEATED this season, but it hasn’t been easy! They played with everything they had until the very end of each game so far! Watching them learn and finally understand how to be a team is amazing. They have mastered the “it’s not how many you personally score, it’s how you make it happen”! The passing back and forth down the field is like something you’d see on tv, and the TEAMWORK they display is like no other! Each win is a TOTAL TEAM EFFORT, it would not happen without each and everyone of the players on this team! This week they took on rivals Crown Point and Morgan. Saturday they traveled to Crown Point and brought home the W, 4-3 with a last minute goal by Mason Frame! Sunday they welcomed Morgan to their field and kept their winning streak alive with a 6-2 win! Goals scored by: Nolan McMahon, Gavin Blauw, Tate Birky, Mason Frame, and Bodhi Lyles. Most of those goals were assisted by Kase Pendowski and Emmett Fontenot! The Mustang’s defense is a brick wall: Sam Barrera, Toby Kilavos, Henry Dewes, Nash Birky and Carlos Carreon are unstoppable, and goalie Cam Smith… he is FEARLESS! This team is for sure one to watch this season! This is finally their time to shine, and proud is very much an understatement!
⚽ U12 GOLDEN GOATS! Where did this team even come from?! Headed up by new coach to our club Joey Dishman, this team of boys and girls are UNDEFEATED this season! They have never played together before and this season has shown us what it means to learn and grow as a team! In just a few weeks their communication on the field has become so much better, playing into open space and working very well as a team! Sammy Kilavos and Daphne Witkowski have been defending their goal with 9 combined saves for the weekend! Josh Zimmer had a fantastic weekend netting 9 goals in 3 games! These kids have been working hard on leadership and keeping each other accountable for their play and actions on the field. The GOATS took on Hobart and Valpo TWICE with scores of 3-1, 6-1, 6-2 keeping their winning streak alive! Keep an eye out for them as they advance in the second half of the season!
⚽ Our U12 teams have all been kicking their game up a notch! Kouts GOLD STRIKE battled it out and got their revenge on SSC winning at home 6-1 this week! While their tent looked to be a little wonky their game certainly wasn't! Every game these boys play is 100% a nail biter! It’s hard to even stay in your seat watching them out there on the field! They are a tough group, that's for sure! Keep it U12! Win or lose, you all have been playing amazing out there!
⚽ U14 GOLD RUSH UNITED played a heck of a game this weekend against Munster just falling short with a 2-1 score. They applied pressure all game long, but Munster’s goalie made some incredible saves and they just couldn’t get that second one across the line. This team is tough! They give it their all every time they hit the field! Most of these kids also play other sports in school. During the week they go from one practice or game to another! Their commitment to this game is unreal! We are so proud of these kids as we have watched some of them come up from U6! Great job team! Keep up the good work!
⚠️ Reminders: Friday Sept. 4th is our last picture day! Mum order forms and money are due this week! No games on Sunday! Take a break and enjoy the time off! You all deserve it!
