Welcome to the end of another season. It was cold but not the snow depth that we could've used. I hope a good amount of you sledders got to enjoy our trails. We put our hearts & souls into making them the best we could: starting with fall trail work to end of season reroutes. Special thanks to all club members that made this possible. Thanks to all of our supporting businesses & all of the members that signed up this year! Special thanks to our groomer operators: Paul, Tom, Derek, and Justin for all of the hours they put in. Special thanks to Tom Gilbert for the tons of work he put into the trails & paperwork. As Trail Master Tom maintained the trails and all the groomers & addressed the repairs. The paperwork he pushed for grants & 501c3 was very time consuming. None of this would not have gotten done without his dedication! A big thank you to Paul Napolitano for helping us all season with anything that needed to be addressed, going out on his own & signing, talking with people from the State, surrounding clubs & Land owners (He knows people). Paul stepped down as President this summer, but stepped up big time! Paul has not let off the throttle! We would also like to thank the land owners for sharing with us as this sport wouldn't be possible without them. Have a great summer, my head is already thinking about next season!

Trail report 3/6/2026

Going into the weekend, trails are holding up for the most part. Some areas are down to little snow and dirt, in the Kokadjo area. Once you are a couple miles out of Kokadjo, conditions improve.
Due to conditions and weather, we have suspended grooming. Weather dependent, if we get any substantial snow, we’ll get groomers back out on nights that’s it’s cold enough to groom.

Captain Hooks Trail Report 3-2-26 All hands on deck! The captain has an announcement! We have reached an agreement with N.E.C. to take the 8 mile section of rt 66 from 4 corners to the intersection of nfg. This will be added to our mileage for next season and our portion will be groomed 5 nights a week! Today I groomed Benny's bridge and #4 mountain the section of 86 from the Greenville rd to the Smithtown rd has a lot of dirt showing but is still rideable most of our trails are still in good shape but after today we will be limiting grooming until after this warm weekend or until we get more snow. Captain Hooks Trail Report 2-26-26--- arrgh! Did 86 tonight and had to recover a sled from a head on collision! Then a guy passed me in complete darkness without a headlight doing about 50! You cant make this s**t up! Ride right ride safe!---Hook

Captain Hooks Trail Report 2-22-26---The nfg trail has been rerouted to either the old lucky trail at 4 corners or via the pegleg trail off lost skidder. ---Hook

Captain Hooks Trail update 2-17-26--- Well my friends it's official we will be rerouting the nfg trail down the old lucky trail (due to logging operations)this coming weekend! Please follow our signs and stay off the plowed roads!!!! Thanks---Hook

Captain Hooks Trail update 2-17-26 -- Arrr mother nature has not been kind to us this winter! Pray for snow we need it badly! We were able to groom 86 to Penobscot pond intersection last night but un less we get snow soon we will be forced to limit grooming and eventually shut down. Ride right ride safe---Hook

Captain Hooks Trail Report 2-16-26---The Pirates plundered and pillaged all night long we sailed with an armada of three ships! Three Pirates sailed and three returned to port without issues, we were able to calm the seas on most of our trail system. Ride right ride safe. ---Hook

Trailside BBQ fundraiser was a great day! Thanks to all Roach Riders and members from surrounding clubs for coming out & for the generous donations! Thanks to all the members that donated food & time preparing Friday, Saturday & working all day today! All 3 groomers are out tonight, thank you Hook, Gray Beard, Justin from Northern Pride Lodge, Timmy Hersom!
