🏈🐻 KODIAK — IT’S PLAYOFF TIME! 🐻🏈

For the first time in years, your Kodiak Bears are hosting a PLAYOFF GAME, and we need the entire community behind these young men!

Kodiak Bears vs. Nikiski Bulldogs
📅 Friday, October 9th
⏰ Kickoff: 3:00 PM
📍 Joe Floyd Track & Field
🏆 WIN AND ADVANCE TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Kodiak, this is bigger than just another football game. These players have worked, sacrificed, battled through adversity, and earned the opportunity to play postseason football right here at home.

We’re calling on EVERYONE to show up!

Kodiak businesses — if you can, SHUT IT DOWN EARLY! Give your employees a chance to get to Joe Floyd and support these kids. Students, parents, alumni, families, first responders, Coast Guard, teachers, local businesses — THIS IS YOUR TEAM.

We want the stands packed.
We want the track packed.
We want Joe Floyd so loud that Nikiski knows from the moment they arrive that they came to KODIAK!

Our Bears have an opportunity to do something special and earn a trip to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

They’ve done the work.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

💙💛 SHUT KODIAK DOWN. PACK JOE FLOYD. BE LOUD. 💛💙

🐻 SAME TEAM. DIFFERENT GOAL.
🔥 UNFINISHED BUSINESS.

🏈 THE REGULAR SEASON IS OVER — BUT WE’RE NOT DONE. 🐻

Tonight, our Bears fell 32–0 to a very tough and well-coached SWDP Archangels team.

The scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story. Our guys left everything they had on the field tonight. They battled from the opening whistle to the final snap and held a powerful SWDP team to their lowest-scoring game ever. That says a lot about the fight, heart, and determination of this group.

We finish the regular season 5–3, and now it’s time for the PLAYOFFS!

Tomorrow, we’ll be watching the Nikiski vs. Monroe game closely. That result will determine whether we get the opportunity to host a playoff game right here in Kodiak next week or hit the road for our first playoff appearance in several years.

Either way, WE’RE IN.

This team has worked too hard and come too far to be satisfied now. The regular season was just one chapter. There is still football left to play.

We are not done.
Unfinished business.

🐻💙💛 SAME TEAM. DIFFERENT GOAL. 💛💙🐻

🏈 ONE MORE REGULAR-SEASON GAME AT HOME. ONE MORE NIGHT FOR OUR SENIORS. 🐻

This Friday, your Kodiak Bears take the field at Joe Floyd Track & Field for Senior Night and our final home game of the regular season as we face the SWDP Archangels.

For our seniors, this one means a little more. These young men have put in the hours, represented Kodiak, supported their teammates, and helped build this program. Come out and show them how much their commitment means to our school and community.

The regular season may be winding down, but our work isn’t finished. The Bears are pushing toward the playoffs, and we need Bear Nation behind us as we make that run!

🎀 We’re also going PINK OUT in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Wear your PINK, fill the stands, and help us turn Joe Floyd pink!

🏈 TOUGH LOSS, BUT PROUD OF THE FIGHT! 🐻

Tonight didn’t go our way as the Bears fell to Monroe Catholic 64–54, but the final score doesn’t tell the whole story.

Credit to Monroe — they came in with a good game plan, executed it well, and put us in a hole. They made plays and gave us everything we could handle.

But what I’m most proud of tonight was the response from our boys.

When we got down, they could have folded. They didn’t. They kept battling, kept believing in each other, and fought their way right back into the game. Our guys showed a ton of heart and toughness, turning what could have gotten away from us into a football game and giving ourselves a chance.

That kind of comeback says a lot about the character of this team. There was no quit in our boys tonight.

We didn’t finish the comeback, and there are things we have to clean up. We’ll watch the film, own our mistakes, learn from them, and get back to work.

Sometimes you learn more about a team when they’re fighting from behind than when everything is going their way. Tonight, our boys showed they’ll keep swinging.

Proud of the fight. Proud of the response. And we’re not done.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our boys tonight!

Same Team. Higher Goals.

🐻 GO BEARS! 🐻
