A couple of changes have been made to the T-Ball schedule due to Field 2 being unplayable tonight.

WELL… THAT’S A PRETTY GOOD FIELD TEST.

Yesterday and overnight, Mother Nature decided to dump a whole lot of water on Bower.

Normally, that much rain would absolutely hammer a playing surface.

But here’s the part I’m pretty proud of…

We’ve got a 35,000-POUND LIFT sitting on the park right now working on the lights, and these fields are still holding strong.

That’s two seasons of hard work, drainage, maintenance, and rebuilding paying off.

As Field Director, I’ll brag on this one a little:

These fields are doing exactly what we built them to do.

Give them a little time to dry out, and we expect to have them back in playing shape within the next day.

Rain came looking for a fight.
Bower’s fields weren’t impressed. ⚾️

After a **much-needed shower**, these fields are soaking it all in! 💧⚾️

Even the fields deserve a night off every now and then. 😂

So tonight’s games are **CANCELLED**, and we’re asking everyone to **PLEASE stay off the fields** while they enjoy their little spa treatment. 🧖‍♂️🌱

Let ’em relax. Let ’em soak.

Back in our Spring 2026 tournament we introduced a special bench made out of plastic bottle caps that honors three of our angels: Neyland, Penn, and Kayla.

As we know since then Hensen forever beat his battle with cancer. Well Hensen loved Bluey and this morning as we make final preparations at Bower Field a couple Blueys decided to join me for breakfast on the bench.

They will be given to the first two players to hit an over the fence home run here at Bower. That's right ...Homers For Hensen.

We may also have another little surprise, but I don't want to say anything yet. Just in case it doesn't happen. Let's just say Hensen also loved fire trucks.

But we will also have small firetruck stickers if any of the players would like to put them on their helmets

The bench has taken its s new traditional location and the newest banners showing all of our previous recipients are in place along with our current banner for Della.

At least for now there's a coolness in the air, there's a slight breeze, and there's a biscuit and gravy with my name on it LOL.

It's the calm before the Thunder.

We look forward to showing Della how much we are here to support her.

As we crown her the Princess of Thunder, I hope we all show up, show out, cheer on every single ball player and make all these kids feel like All-Stars ...Because we're all here for the same reason.

🎅⚡ ’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE BRING THE THUNDER! ⚡🏟️

’Twas the night before Thunder, and all through the park,
The fields stood ready as the sky grew dark.
The bats were all stacked, the bases were bright,
And 80+ teams were preparing to fight…

Not for trophies. Not for fame.
But for Princess Della and the childhood cancer fight. 💗

From three different parks, the thunder will roar.
Families will gather, and hearts will soar.
Every hit, every run, every play we make
Brings us one step closer to the difference we’ll create.

So coaches, grab your teams. Fans, bring your cheer.
The most important tournament of the fall is here!
