Fall season is officially underway at Bower Field!

Last night, all 6 fields were buzzing with teams practicing, coaches coaching, families cheering, and kids doing what they love. There's nothing quite like seeing our community come together under the lights for another season of baseball and softball.

We're excited for the memories that will be made, the friendships that will grow, and all the great moments this fall has in store.

Meet our Fall 2026 Recipient: Della 🩷💜🎗️

Della is 5 years old and has b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

She was diagnosed 12/5/2025 after they noticed several bruises on her and family took her to the pediatrician and they did blood work and sent them straight to Children’s ER.

They were told in the ER she had leukemia but not sure what type until the next day. She got her port 2 days later and started chemo. She basically lost the physical ability to walk after the first month of treatment.

After physical therapy and once her steroids were done, she regained her physical strength. She loves gymnastics so this was particularly hard for her. Her cancer didn't reach remission the first month so she had to be on the high risk path for treatment.

This means treatment is longer and she's had harsher chemo. We've spent over 58 nights in the hospital since December.

She always has a smile on her face and always riding her bike in her cowgirl boots around clinic while getting chemo!! She will be in treatment until April of 2028 when we are patiently waiting for her to ring the gong and be done.

She's a girly girl! Pink and purple , princesses, unicorns! Anything girly! She has a soccer jersey with a 1 on it because her daddy always wore #1 in baseball.

Join us September 19th and 20th for the official coronation of Princess Della of the Thunder.

We will bring it for her in our baseball and softball tournament.

☂️ A Small Favor That Makes a Big Difference ☂️

If you use one of the umbrellas around the park, please take a few seconds to lower it before you leave.

Unfortunately, we've had to replace several umbrellas after they were left open and damaged by wind. It's a simple step that can help protect them and keep them available for everyone to enjoy.

We work hard to make Bower Field a comfortable place for our players and families, and we truly appreciate everyone's help in taking care of the park.

🏆🥔 THE HOT POTATOES ARE YOUR 2026 KID PITCH BANANA BALL SUMMER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! 🥔🏆

From the first pitch to the final out, the Hot Potatoes brought the energy, the hustle, and the fun all summer long. They earned every bit of this championship and finished the inaugural Kid Pitch Banana Ball season on top!

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on an incredible run. Thank you to every team that made this first-ever Banana Ball Summer League at Bower Field such an unforgettable success.

The South Knoxville Knuckleheads finished the first-ever Bower Coach Pitch Banana Ball Summer Season the only way they knew how...

Undefeated.

They capped off a perfect season by bringing home the championship and making Banana Ball history at Bower Field!

Congratulations to every player, coach, and family on an incredible season. And thank you to every team, volunteer, and fan who helped make the first-ever Bower Banana Ball Summer Season one to remember.

What started as a crazy idea turned into one incredible summer filled with walk-up songs, dancing, water balloons, laughter, unforgettable plays, and memories these kids will never forget. Now it all comes down to ONE FINAL NIGHT.

🚨 BOWER FIELD IS CONDUCTING AN IMPORTANT INVESTIGATION... 🚨

We have received reports that a group of tiny humans has been...

⚾ Stealing extra bases.
💃 Dancing between innings.
🌭 Destroying concession stand hot dogs.
🎵 Requesting songs they definitely shouldn't know all the words to.
💦 Launching suspiciously accurate water balloons.

Witnesses describe the suspects as:
• Covered in dirt.
• Carrying oversized bats.
• Smiling from ear to ear.
• Completely unbothered by bedtimes.
