2026 MWFA Rules

Any 1980 and newer 2-wheel drive passenger car/ mini-van/ mini-truck/ mid-size suv.

All vehicles must be stripped off all plastic, glass, headlights, taillights and anything else that could fall of onto the track during the show.

All vehicles must remain stock, ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING ANYWHERE.

Bumpers must remain stock, do not alter bumper in anyway. Factory bumper shocks must remain in factory location. You may remove rear bumpers and shocks. There is no welding to be done on bumpers.

Batteries may be left in stock location and spray foam may be added around battery. You may also move battery to passenger floor or seat. Please make sure battery is not moving.

If factory gas tank is in front of axle you may leave it there. If it’s behind the axel, you must move it to the rear seat area. Factory tanks may be moved inside but completely secured

All doors may be wired or chained in 6 places max per seam.
Trunks, hoods, tailgates, all may be wired or chained in 6 places total. Sheet metal to sheet metal only. Nothing to frame or bumpers. If you remove trunk or tailgate you lose that wire or chain.

(4) point cage, roll over bar, or dash bar is highly recommended. None to add strength but for safety reasons only. None of the bars may attach to frame/unibody, or extend into the backseat area. Down bars can only attach to floor sheet metal. Must be completely vertical.

Drivers door only may have a plate welded to the outside or inside. This is for driver safety.

DOT tires only. Stock wheels only. All wheel weights must be removed. Only tubes and air are permitted inside of tires. These rules are cut and dry, you should not have to call to ask many questions on this class. If it does not say you can do it then that means YOU CANNOT do it. Quick and easy build.
Windshields must be removed.
Must cut a 12 inch hole in hood for fire suppression
Simplified wiring harnesses are NOT Allowed

Okay yall here is your 2026 Mini Car Rules

General
Any 1980 and newer front wheel drive car that came with (6) cylinders or less. No full frame cars. PT Cruisers and HHRs are permitted. No other modifications will be permitted unless stated in the
following rules. Cars must have a 12” by 12” roof sign with a clearly visible number from the stands.
Cars must be painted in at least 50% contrasting color.
There are zero gray areas in these rules. If it does not say you can do it, then it must stay stock.
You will be aloud a total of 4-4x4 inch by ¼” fix it plates they can’t not be cut in half and must have a 1” gap between each plate do not feel that gap with weld
You will be aloud a 8” long bumper strap from the back bumper back on the frame it will be measured from the back of the bumper back. Do not let your patch plates connect to this strap. Do not feel with weld must have a 1
inch gap in between.
Stripping Car
All interior items except dash and necessary items (pedals/seats/shifter etc..) must be removed. All
glass must be removed from the car. Air bags must be removed. Aftermarket shifters may be used but no shifter protectors All other factory components unless mentioned must remain
operational and in their original location. No spray foam may be used. Wiring harnesses that are in
front of the core support may be relocated behind core support. Battery must be relocated inside of
the car to the passenger floorboard. Wiring harness may be simplified. Carb conversions will be
allowed. A very simple carb protector is allowed. Do not go overboard on this. Aftermarket pedals
are aloud. Hood/Trunk latch must be removed. Catalytic converter and forward part of exhaust may
stay in place. No using seatbelts or wire from roof to body.
Hood
Hood must have a 12" hole in the center of hood. The hood and trunk must be open for inspection.
Hood and trunk may be wired shut in 6 spots sheet metal to sheet metal. (2 strands max) You may bolt the hood down in 6 locations 3 per side 1/2” bolt max 2 being thru the top of core support CAN NOT attached or welded or going thru the frame at all
Doors
Drivers’ door plate is optional No other door plating will be permitted. Drivers’ door plate must be minimum 1/8” thick and up to ¼” thick and run the entire door length/width. This may be welded
and overlap the door seams up to 2 inches on front fender and rear door. All other doors must be wired or welded shut in a min/max 8 locations per door. If you are using
wire these strands may max 2 loops (these wires must be within 4” of door seams) and if you are
using strapping a maximum 3 by 3 inch by 1/8th flat plate is permitted to be used. All plates must be on the door seams.
Quarter panels/Trunk Lid
You may remove the trunk tuck v u shape the trunk but speaker deck must remain intact factory location Quarters must remain vertical. Trunk may be wired or welded shut in 6 spots only, sheet metal to sheet metal only. If you are using wire these strands may max 2 loops (these wires must be within
4” of trunk seam) and if you are using strapping a maximum 3 by 3 inch by 1/8th flat plate is
permitted to be used.
Window Wire
Front Window - You may use #9 wire in the front window area. (1) spot only. This wire may only go
from the roof to cowl in the front window. No thicker than 4 total strands.
Rear Window. (back glass)
You will be permitted up to a 3 inch by ¼” max strap to welded to the roof and speaker deck. The first 5 inches will only be permitted to be welded on the roof. The first 5 inches on the truck lid
where it meets the speaker deck may also be welded. Nothing beyond mentioned above.
Bumpers
Front bumpers may be replaced with any stock (loaded) or aftermarket replacement replica bumper. No Chrysler pointy’s will be permitted factory or replica. Square tubing bumpers will also be
permitted but can be maximum 2” wide by 6” tall. Tubing is to be no thicker than ¼ inch thick.
Bumper may not exceed past the front tires in width. If a point is added it may not exceed 8” to the point and must span over 30” from the middle of the bumper. (15” both ways) Crush boxes may be removed, and the bumpers may be hardnosed. The core support must stay in factory location and cannot be altered at all. A 6” by 6” by ¼” mounting plate may be used; this must be flat on the back side of the bumper. This is to give you a flat surface to mount to the frame. This is NOT a frame plate of any sort.
Rear bumpers may be replaced with any 1980 and newer bumper no tubing at all
Cage/Gas Tank
Rear seat bar and roll over bar are mandatory cage components. No other cage component will be permitted besides a gas tank protector and what is defined below. A "simple" 4-point cage consisting
of a dash bar, two sidebars, and a rear seat bar. 4" by 4" cage max. All cage components must be at least (4) inches off the floor. The cage must stay within the passenger/driver's compartment. Sheet
metal to sheet metal only. The Dash bar must be 6” from the fire wall or tr**ny tunnel sheet metal. The sidebar may not go further forward than the Firewall And no further back than 10” behind the B pillar
Gas tank protectors
This is for mounting gas tank. Not strengthen the car. It must be connected to
rear seat bar. May not be wider than 24 inches. Must remain 4 inches off the floorboard ans back seat floor and can not
extend past the front of rear speaker deck or the front of the rear package tray.
One gusset per corner of cage; must be within 6” of the corner and meet all cage specifications.
Anything welded vertical on gas tank protector must run straight up and down no part of the gas tank protector can extend beyond 6 inches above the top of the tank. Roll over bar must be
mounted to rear seat bar only
For safety you may have (1) 2x2 inch tubing going from middle of halo bar to gas tank protector.
Rear Frame/Unibody
May be notched/dimpled but may not be rewelded.
Front suspension
Spring risers may be used. 1 per strut or may weld strut with a single weld bead no homemade aftermarket or stock appearing struts no added metal to struts
You may have homemade or aftermarket tire rods
Rear Suspension
May be soild you may have aftermarket struts amd control arms but control arm brackets must be factory no added metal to strengthen them
If building rear suspension components 2x2x1/4” max tubing
Gas Tanks
Gas tank must be moved inside of the car if behind rear axle if in front of rear axle you may leave it under the car Tanks must be made of steel/aluminum. Gas tanks must
bolt in 4 locations on gas tank protector. Gas tank or protector may not strengthen that car in any way. All hoses must be double clamped at all connections. Electric fuel pumps must be operated by a switch that the driver can shut off in case of a fire. You must paint switch prior to inspection.
Tires
After market wheels and tires are allowed Doubling tires are allowed. Rims will be permitted to use small weld in centers, 1 inch rim lip protectors and valve stem protectors and bead locks will be permitted.
Drivetrain
Cross breeding of drivelines will be permitted. The engine must mount with factory stock mounts in the factory location. Aftermarket radiators will be permitted. Mounting of Radiator You will be
permitted (2) strands of #9 wire or racket straps or bolt it back in, in factory fashion using factory
components. Radiator Guards will be aloud
Headers are permitted. Headers must point straight up out of the hood. No other modifications other than a general tune up. A very simple Carb protector is allowed. This will not strengthen car in
any way.

Okay yall here is the 2026 Big Car Rules

V8 General car rules
Any Year
1. Lower cradle is allowed for large cars, and cannot be attached to the frame in any way other than
the motor mounts.
2. If you are running a pulley protector sway bar must be cut.
3. Aftermarket motor mounts are allowed, no chains from cradle to frame.
4. Transmission must be a stock housing no braces at all can run a steel bell or ultra bell that’s it no steel tail
5. Crossmember may be factory or a piece of tubing 2x2x1/4” can be mounted with a piece of 3x3x6” long angle welded to frame DO NOT PRESSURE IT IN
6. Can run a sliding driveshaft.
7. Any rearend can be run and braced as long as it doesn’t strengthen the car in any way.
8. Four point cage is highly recommended, 2x6 max side bars 60 in long, front and back bar no larger
than 4x4. Front bar must be 6 in off firewall.
9. Gas tank protector allowed 3x3 ¼ in tubing max. 28 in wide, can be pressed into package tray. Do Not weld or bolt to package tray or frame you Can have uprights behind the tank no higher than factory speaker deck position.
10. Rollover bar is optional but must attach to side bar only not to the frame
11. No back window bar.
12. Front window bar is mandatory. I.E. 9 wire ,metal grate, or 2 in flat metal max. can be attached to the cowl with 1 bolt per side and roof with 1 bolt.
13. Front bumper height max of 22 in. rear frame rails must be 18 in to the bottom no matter if you have a tilted bumper or not.
14. Can run any bumper factory oem loaded or aftermarket replica, absolutely no Chrysler pointy oem or replica.
15. Fuel cell is highly recommended with fire jacket.
16. Can run after market pedals and battery box , shifter but they can not be used as a kicker
17. Factory leaf cars must run oem leaf pack to that car but can add two extra leaf clamps to each pack of leaf springs that’s a total of 4 clamps for the whole car
18. Trunks can be u’d v’d or tucked as long as there is no wedge from speaker deck to bumper. Speaker deck must remain intact. Can crease quarters but must remain straight up
19. Trunks are allowed 6 bolts, 6 chains or wire, 6 3x3 x 1/8 in plates per seam. Choose 1 option only.
Must have 2 6x6 holes cut in the trunk for inspection purposes. 20. Do not build in the gray areas. Officials decisions are final, no arguing or fussing . NO EXCEPTIONS.
You will have 1 chance to pass retech. $20 reinspection fee!
21. A arms can be changed for height factory ball joints can weld front suspension solid w 2 2x4x1/4 in
plates 1 per side if you abuse the size you will lose them!
Rear suspension can be soild or bounce but it’s must meet the bumper height rule if not you will cut and make it meet the rule
22. Doors can be chained wired or welded with 3 3x3x 1/8 in plates per vertical seam choose 1 only 4 door will get plates 9 per side , 2 door gets 6 plates per side. No plates above bottom of window seam
Driver Door may have a full door skin 1/4” max thickness only on outside
23. Hoods can be mounted in 6 spots. 2 of them being the core support mount s can be swapped for 1 in
max all thread mounted to factory eye, no welding to frame. Other 2 spots per side can be 2x2x1/4 x 4 in
angle iron with 1 ½ in bolt.
24. You can change body bolts to 5/8” bolts max 3x3 max washer do not connect these into cage or weld to frame in anyway MUST have 1” gap between frame and body you may use steel body puck or hockey pucks or factory body bushing
25.NO radiator guards of any kind you can only use a condenser
Ford Lincoln Mercury rules for 80 and up only
1. Can cold bend frame, no cutting tabs and welding! Only welding on frames is hardnosing front bumper, a arms
2. Front spacer can be 2x2x1/4 by 5 in long if more you will take apart and cut
3. You will be allowed to hardnose bumper with no added bumper shock.
2003 and up fords only
1. Metal aftermarket bolt in cradle allowed cannot touch frame anywhere.
2. Must run stock rack. Will be allowed aftermarket tie rods.
3.No Hydro steering no exceptions
4.Can have a 2x2 5” spacer max
5.You can hard nose bumper with no added metal and no bumper shock
77 up GM cars only
1. Front spacer can be 2x2x1/4 by 5” long if more you will take apart and cut
2. You can hardnose bumper with no added metal and no bumper shock
3. 4” wide 22” long straight across hump plates
ALL CARS GET 4-4x4 1/4” patch plates on fresh and pre ran cars no exceptions
