🎱 WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO REPLACE YOUR CUE TIP?

Don’t wait until your tip falls off during an important match! There isn’t one replacement schedule for every player—it depends on how often you play, the tip’s hardness, and how well it is maintained.

Consider replacing your tip when:

• The leather is worn extremely thin
• It no longer holds its shape or accepts chalk properly
• The surface repeatedly becomes hard, smooth, or glazed
• Mushrooming keeps returning after proper maintenance
• You see cracks, missing pieces, separation between layers, or a loose edge
• You begin miscuing more often even after shaping and chalking correctly
• The hit feels unusually hard, sounds different, or your cue-ball control becomes inconsistent

A flattened or lightly glazed tip may only need professional shaping, scuffing, or burnishing—not necessarily replacement.

If you have a tournament coming up, don’t wait until the last minute. Have your tip inspected and replaced early enough to practice with it and become comfortable with the feel.

I just want to take a minute and say something from the heart.

When I started doing cue repair, I had a dream of seeing how far I could take it. Looking at where Rosner Cue Repair is today, sometimes it's hard for me to believe how far that dream has come.

But I know one thing for sure — I didn't get here by myself.

First, I want to thank my family and my friends. Thank you for believing in me, standing behind me, helping me when I needed it, and putting up with the long hours, traveling, tournaments, and everything else that has gone into building this business. Your support has meant more to me than I could ever put into words. You helped make this dream possible.

And to all the pool players and friends I've made along the way, THANK YOU.

Every time one of you hands me your cue and trusts me to work on it, that means something to me. I know how important your equipment is to you, and I don't take that trust lightly.

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by my booth, had work done, bought a shaft, recommended me to another player, shared my posts, or just came by to talk and support me.

I've been lucky enough to meet a lot of great people through this game, and many of you have gone from customers to people I consider friends.

There have been long days, late nights, a lot of miles, and plenty of hard work, but when I look at where I'm at today, it has all been worth it.
