It’s 85 Days till It’s Football Time in Tennessee! The ‘85 Vols finished the season as SEC champions and with a victory over Miami in the 1986 Sugar Bowl. At season's end, the Volunteers ranked fourth in both the AP Poll and the Coaches' Poll. The Volunteers offense scored 325 points while the defense allowed 140 points.

It’s 86 days Till It’s Football Time in Tennessee! #86 Andy Kozar was a member of the Vols' 1951 national championship team, Kozar was a three year starter at fullback for the Vols from 1950-52, was named the Most Outstanding Back of the 1951 Cotton Bowl. Kozar was also named All-SEC in 1952.

It’s 87 days Till it’s Football Time in Tennessee! #87 Darryl Hardy. Hardy is the only Vols All-SEC selection ever to wear No. 87, Darryl earned the honor in 1991. Hardy was a three year starter with the Vols and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1992.

It’s 90 days Till It’s Football Time in Tennessee! #90 Will Overstreet. A two-time All-SEC First Team selection in 2000 and 2001. Served as team captain in 2001. Phillip Fulmer once said Wills motor was always running. There was no doubt Overstreet gave his all for Tennessee.

It’s 91 days Till It’s Football Time in Tennessee! #91 Doug Atkins was a two-time All SEC and an All-American in 1952. He was the only player to be unanimously named to the All-SEC Quarter Century Team (1950-74) and was selected SEC Player of the Quarter Century. Atkins is in both the College Football and NFL Hall of Fame.

Bobby Denton was the long time voice of Neyland Stadium PA announcer from 1967 to 2013. Catch phrases like “It’s football time in Tennesseeeeeee!” And after reminding the crowd concession stand prices were listed in the game program, Denton would exclaim “Please pay these prices and please….pay…no more!”

It’s 93 Days Till it’s Football Time in Tennessee! #93 Shaun Ellis, Defensive Line (1997-99). A three-year letterwinner and All-SEC First Team honors in 1999. Ellis was a member of the undefeated, National Championship team of 1998. Ellis finished his career for the Vols with 105 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and one INT which he returned for 90 yards for a TD.
