When you run a camera for the concert at the Knox County Illinois Fair one Thursday, at the Gretchen Wilson, Eddie Montgomery, & Tyler Farr | Knoxville, IL show, and the next Thursday the band (not the big names) you were videoing is playing music at the Republican National Convention. I guess they must really be one of the best groups of musicians, or at least biggest Republicans, in Nashiville. Kinda crazy.....explains why they were so full of American Pride last week, they knew where they would be this week.

It is, in fact, race day at the Knox County Illinois Fair!!! Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks and 4-Cylinders will all be in action.

Track work is on going, and barring heavy "R" stuff, we will be ready to go for tonight's races! We have been watching the radar and forecast, and are banking on anything that may spot its way through, missing us! Keep an eye on this page for any updates.

Pit passes are $35, grandstands - Adult $15, Students $10.

Pill Draw ends at 6 pm, drivers meeting 6:15 pm and hot laps at 6:30. Races to follow.

The 2024 Knox County Illinois Fair Race is just two weeks away, and it may be the last chance to put your tires on the famed 1/2 mile in Knoxville, IL.

Diamond Ag returns as the primary sponsor of the stock car races, again in 2024. Hot Laps will be scheduled for 6:30 p.m.. and racing at 7 p.m. Pit Passes are $35 (those entering the facility with a racecar and going to the pits will NOT have to pay the $3 ground entry fee. Grandstands will be Adults $15, Students $10.

UMP Style Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win, and $250 to start.

Limited Modifieds, using the HART Series rules as posted in a prior post, will race for $1,000 to win, and $250 to start.

Street Stocks will be running for $700 to win, $150 to start. All area track legal forms of street stocks will be allowed, according to the individual track rules. IMCA Stock Cars, UMP Street Stocks and Quad City area legal cars, will each race for a $100 bonus to be the highest finishing TRACK LEGAL car. If drivers/car owners would like to by-pass the opportunity at bonus money, they can participate with any combination of the rules packages from East Moline Speedway, Davenport Speedway, Spoon River Speedway, Peoria Speedway, 34 Raceway.

4-Cylinders will be racing for $700 to win, $75 to start. Cars must fit within rules package of cars participating at the same tracks listed above.
