It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything… but this one’s pretty neat.

It’s a Re*****on XP-100, chambered in .221 Re*****on Fireball. Super cool, other than the availability and cost of ammunition.

We reamed the chamber to a .223 Wylde which will accept a .223 Rem or 5.56x45, and increase the ammo options exponentially.

When a few rounds of “remanufactured” 5.56 that were supposed to have been discarded find their way into the factory ammo box.

The shoulder separated cleanly from the rest of the case and the shoulder and neck stayed attached to the bullet as it started down the bore. The lead core was shot out of the jacket and the case head failed under immense pressure.

The condition could have been from bad annealing, an undercharge detonation, or a combination of things. The bolt was fully locked/in battery and luckily the gun did what it was supposed to do and absorbed and redirected the energy/gasses. The rifle is a loss, but there was no injury to the shooter.

Threading a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 (7.62x54R) SBR in M14x1 LH. The 12” barrel was previously saw cut flush to the end of the stock by the owner I presume.

After a day or so of letting penetrating oil do its thing, the barrel was pulled off the action and the barrel then faced, crowned, and threaded. The stock just got band sawed and the owner will do whatever shaping they desire.

The thread length was done at a fairly standard length for future muzzle device changes since the Wolverine-PBS seats against the muzzle and not the shoulder.

A version of the infamous Tec 9, threaded 1/2-28. These barrels are not reasonably removable, so a big long center was made to reach through the receiver in order to turn the barrel between centers.

Three Brownings and a R***r threaded to accept the owners suppressors/muzzle devices. The three with the SilencerCo ASR brakes had the shoulder timed to eliminate the need for shims.

With the sharp rise is silencer/suppressor popularity in recent years… we thread just as many hunting oriented rifles as target/bench and gov’t-be-good rifles.
