At Magnet Outdoors, we’re proud to say that when it comes to developing food plot seed blends for whitetail deer, no brand brings more experience to the table.
Those two guys on the right, Steve and Wilson Scott, aren’t just part of the history, they are the history. They were the first to research, develop, and bring food plot seed for deer to market. When they first started and approached stores about selling their seed blends specifically formulated for whitetail deer, they got a lot of strange looks. But what started as a crazy idea, quickly grew into an industry that changed hunting. They along with their dad, Ray Scott, are the originators of the term we all use today - food plots. For those that love food plotting, we owe them much gratitude.

If you’ve followed me, you know that anytime I plant a new perennial plot in the fall, I’m pairing it with a nurse crop.
Most brands just simply recommend their oats product. We wanted to take it a step further. While Sidekick can certainly be a stand alone plot, we are the first company to research and develop a product specifically for nurse crops in mind.
