Good morning team, schedule update.

We are pausing Monday Juniors class at 530-630pm for a bit due to scheduling conflicts. Adults is still normal schedule for Mondays. As well as Friday nogi and Saturday gi for Juniors.

Good morning team, no classes this evening due to freezing negative temperatures and our bathroom pipes are still frozen. We hope to open up for comp class tomorrow as regularly scheduled! Stay warm, stay safe, and rest up. A great day to work some yoga stretching and solo drills!

Goodmorning team looks like we are in for extreme freezing temps on Saturday with up to 3" of snow according to the weather folks. The bitter cold will stick around through Monday.

We will close for the day on Saturday, it will be around -15 to -20f with the wind chill around class start time on Saturday. Plus whatever snow we get on top of the temps.

I'll keep you guys posted for Monday, but if we don't have running water we will be closed for Monday classes as well due to frozen pipes and no restroom to use.

As we are getting closer to ending this year's chapter to start a new one, I am humbled and thankful for all of our team mates. Today was an amazing day on the mats seeing Indiana progress in a such short time span and taking home his first gold in competition was a proud professor moment! First sub only comp and ripped off 2 beautiful armbar subs from a dominating hi-mount position. Just hit 6 months of training, 2 silvers and 1 gold. 3 out of 3 he has been on the podium, against some game opponents! It is a testament to all his hard work, consistency, learning and ability to be coached. Thank you to all that helped out in getting him prepped for the comp. It takes a team to build a competitor! We have had some great success this year on the mats, 1 team medal, many gold, silver and bronze. More importantly lots of experience gained, lessons learned and sharpening skill sets to represent Stealth BJJ and team Leandro Brassoloto here in the US! You all remind me everyday on the mats of how much I love coaching and being able to share my passion of bjj with you.

Coach Austin here...

It's been a long 3 months off the mats.

Heart attack September 1st. Surgery September 8th. My brother Colter Taylor got me to the hospital. Then my brother Jerry Scott Spencer came down to take care of me until my parents could make it out here. We did a ton of walking during our touristy things. I've been doing a bunch of hiking here even in the snow. Aledgedly even cranked out 18 pushups just to prove to myself I can do more than some of my airman even after open heart surgery.

My leadership has been amazingly understanding during my absence at work. Thanks to my peers for holding down the fort. Give me a week or two back to get into the swing of things and take a vacation for a bit.

I'll be back on the mats here real soon and I'll have an updated picture for you all. Until then here's a few of my journey the last few months.

Austin has been out and about healing up pretty well from the heart attack! He's gotten back on the mats once for movement drills over Thanksgiving.

Working hard to get back on the mats by mid December and fully healed and back to normal by spring.
