Royal Junior Open is for kids age 10 to 18 to compete against others players in a stroke play competition event.

10 to 13 year olds will tee off from the red tees. 14 to 18 year olds will tee off from the white tees.

The cost is $40 per player which includes the 18 hole walking green fee and a prize fund for the winners.

Tee times will start at 12:00 and depend on the number of entries.

Junior Parents:

I just want to give you all a few things to get ready for tonight.

Parents are allowed/encouraged to watch the kids play.

We encourage kids to walk but some parents will rent a cart and take the players to their first hole.

Carts will be $20 to rent.

Parents can help with scoring and rules of play.

Scott, Blake and Derek will obviously be out on the course but can’t be with every group.

We will all play until 7:30. At that time, regardless of how many holes they play, we will return to the clubhouse.

Scoring: parents can help kids keep score. It is not that serious but we do want to teach kids to learn a little about how each shot counts. If a player is having a serious problem, we can place the ball a few feet from the hole to let them finish then count double par on the card.

Juniors!

If you are planning on coming tonight to the “play day” from 5:30 to 7:30, please call the pro shop and sign up in advance.

And stay tuned. If the weather does not cooperate, we will post something here on Facebook or you can call the pro shop to check. We will look at the radar and make a decision about an hour before tee time.

Main thing is that if you’re planning to come, sign up first. We will be ready to go if the weather permits and if it doesn’t, we will cancel.

Hello Junior Golfers!

We hope you had a great time last night. It was our largest group and we encourage everyone to come out every Monday. Please call and sign up in advance so that we can plan. When we get these large numbers, it takes more time to organize.

If your were not able to make it last night, we made the announcement that next week will be a “play day”. That means it will be 5:30 to 7:30 and everyone needs to sign up in advance.
