🏒 BIG NEWS FOR AAHL! 🏒

We are excited to announce that the Armstrong Arrows Hockey League has received the Roger Sharrer Grow Hockey Award for the 2026–2027 season! 🎉

This award recognizes our continued commitment to growing the game, introducing more young athletes to hockey, and building a strong hockey community.

Even better, new goalie equipment and helmets will be added to our lending closet, helping make it easier for new players to give hockey a try! 🥅🏒

🏒❤️💙💛 Welcome to the 2026–27 season, Armstrong Arrows 10U EDGE! ❤️💙💛🏒

There’s something extra special about the beginning of a new hockey season, and our 10U EDGE families made sure these kids started theirs feeling celebrated!

The locker room was transformed with balloons featuring each player’s number, jerseys hanging from their own custom-numbered hangers, and some pretty awesome surprises waiting at their spots.

Each player received a custom drawstring bag, their very own custom water bottle, and a “snackle box” packed and ready for those long rink days! 🥨🥤🏒 From all of the personalized details to the red and yellow balloons filling the locker room, so much thought, time and effort went into making this jersey reveal something the kids would remember.

A huge thank you to the 10U EDGE parents who helped plan, decorate, organize and bring all of these little details together. ❤️ It takes a hockey family to create moments like these, and seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces makes every bit of the work worth it.

The jerseys are hung, the numbers are theirs, and a brand-new season is officially beginning. Here’s to new memories, friendships, hard work, plenty of laughs and lots of hockey ahead. Welcome to the season, Armstrong Arrows 10U EDGE — let’s make 2026–27 one to remember! 🏹🏒✨

The 12U EDGE will take on the Pittsburgh Huskies at Belmont complex while the 12U White battles the Arctic Foxes at RMU.

Join the Run With Heart Foundation on September 26th at the Belmont Complex Banquet Room for a full day of hands-on training that could make a life-changing difference when every second counts. ❤️🏒

From CPR and First Aid to Concussion Education and Stop the Bleed training, you’ll learn practical skills to help you stay calm, take action, and be ready when someone needs you most.

This event is open to Riverhawks and Arrows families, youth sports volunteers from ANY organization, and children ages 12+. Whether you’re a coach, parent, team volunteer, or young athlete, these are skills worth having.

The Belmont Complex is hosting USA Hockey’s Try Hockey for Free on Saturday, September 12, 2026, giving boys and girls ages 4–9 the perfect chance to experience hockey in a fun, welcoming environment.

Equipment fitting begins at 11:30 AM, followed by on-ice time from 12:30–1:30 PM at the Belmont Complex, 415 Butler Road in Kittanning.

No experience? No problem—this is all about giving kids the opportunity to lace up the skates, grab a stick, and discover how much fun hockey can be! Whether you have a future hockey player at home or just want to let them try something new, this is a great way to get started.

The Armstrong Arrows 12U white are ready to hit the ice for the first time this season, and we’d love for you to stick around and cheer them on! ❤️💙💛

The Arrows will face off against the Indiana Chiefs on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 10:40 AM at the Belmont Complex.

This is the first chance to watch these kids come together, compete, build chemistry, and have some fun doing what they love.

Expect plenty of hustle, teamwork, big saves, great plays, and excitement from both sides!
