Food Trucks? Concessions are supposed to bring in funds for a league as well as a great opportunity for high school kids to get volunteer hours. Very sad to hear about Denn John and the loss of concessions. They had some kick ass burgers and fries not too long ago.

Assessments are not hard if you plan and make sure to prepare for all contingencies and all issues. Weather is one thing, but it sounds like there’s some cluster-funk going on in Kissimmee with a certain youth baseball league. Not surprisig though.If you want things to change it starts at the top. I mean, really, did you all vote for this again this year?

FALL BALL EVERYONE!!!! Remember, this is the time to learn and prepare for Spring. Not everyone gets to do travel ball and this can be a great time of year to try new pitches, positions or swings. Push yourself. Do not give up. It only gets harder.

So, how does you local league choose All-Stars? Do they follow the rules? Do they make it fair? Do they allow input?

There are kids who will always be overlooked unless there is a fair process that is followed bot just put in place for 'optics'.

Daddy ball does not help anyone.

High School Baseball is ending and it is a tough time for players. Some will move one. Some will not. What is important is to make sure they ALL have a chance to continue to play. The friendships they make are invaluable and can be life long.

Good luck this summer to all who get to play and continue their experience.

I have always taught my players that it is not how you start but how you finish that will be on everyone's mind. No one remembers that great hit last week but they remember that strikeout to lose the last game. It is the way it is. Baseball is a game of failure and learning how to recover from that and still move forward is the hardest thing to learn...even with talent.

Dear Kissimmee Youth Baseball board. You should be ashamed of yourselves. All of you. Not allowing a child to play in a public league with no reason. None at all.

The kids we saw at the games wondered why he was not playing. The coaches on the teams asked if he was going to play. He was fully expecting to play but no. We were told the board voted, or was is that the teams were full?

Now, I know for a fact the teams have injuries as well as kids that would be missing that would benefit the current teams so not only are you taking away baseball from one child you are hindering your other teams. A double-header with 11 kids and the pitching I have seen is brutal and should not be allowed to happen because of the petty votes of some. It can lead to injury.

Ashamed you should all be. Utterly ashamed. You think in some way this is some 'win' for you.

Don. Dyette. Ricardo. Terry. Heather. I am sure Teddy had a say in some way. The others would have no idea who this child was unless unsubstantiated rumors were used and that, well, is not legal in anyway.

Querida tabla de béisbol juvenil de Kissimmee. Deberían avergonzarse de vosotros mismos. Todos ustedes. No permitir que un niño juegue en una liga pública sin razón. Nada en absoluto.

Los chicos que vimos en los partidos se preguntaban por qué no estaba jugando. Los entrenadores de los equipos le preguntaron si iba a jugar. Esperaba jugar, pero no. Nos dijeron que la junta votó, o fue que los equipos estaban llenos?

Ahora, sé que por cierto los equipos tienen lesiones, así como niños que faltarían que beneficiarían a los equipos actuales por lo que no sólo estás quitando el béisbol a un niño que estás obstaculizando a tus otros equipos. Un doble cabeza con 11 niños y el pitcheo que he visto es brutal y no se debe permitir que suceda debido a los votos mezquinos de algunos. Puede llevar a lesiones.

Avergonzado de que todos lo debéis. Ultimamente avergonzado. Crees que de alguna manera esto es un poco de "gana" para ti.

Congratulations to all of the High School Senior Baseball Players these next few weeks. It is the end of the road for high school and I hope you can find an outlet in College or a local baseball organization to continue to play. It is very important for many kids to be able to have something that fills their day with excitement, lifelong friendships and learning creating a love of the game.

Felicitaciones a todos los Jugadores de Béisbol Superior de la Escuela Secundaria estas próximas semanas. Es el final del camino para la secundaria y espero que puedas encontrar una salida en el Colegio o una organización local de béisbol para seguir jugando. Es muy importante para muchos niños poder tener algo que llena su día de emoción, amistades de toda la vida y aprender creando un amor por el juego.

Local baseball is for the kids who cannot afford travel baseball. It allows kids of all skill to compete. It is open to everyone. During my time managing as well as running leagues I never restricted a child from play or kicked one out of the league. If it is a discipline problem maybe it is something you, as a mentor, can assist with and I helped plenty. I instilled this in my own kids. To treat others as you would want to be treated without prejudice. Some kids have it bad at home.

Sadly, others are not the same way. They will punish a child for petty reasons and take away from a young player the ability to love the game. Sometimes for a kid it could be their last season for a multitude of reasons. We are there to make sure they can experience that till they cannot anymore.

When all options are taken it is not time to move on but to hold those who did this responsible. Prejudice will not be entertained any longer. It is time for other people to find out why.

El béisbol local es para los niños que no pueden permitirse viajar a jugar béisbol. Permite que compitan niños de todos los niveles. Está abierto a todos. Durante el tiempo que administré y dirigí ligas, nunca restringí el juego de ningún niño ni expulsé a ninguno de la liga. Si se trata de un problema de disciplina, tal vez sea algo con lo que usted, como mentor, pueda ayudar y yo ayudé mucho. Inculqué esto a mis propios hijos.
