What a week Clay Target League National Championship!
We are incredibly proud of the SWH Shooting Sports Team (Ryse,Rylan, Kase, Grace, & Drezden) for finishing 121st our of 234 teams. This is the highest national ranking in our program history since the team was established in the spring of 2023. What an accomplishment for these athletes, and thank you to the coaches(Rich and Rosa) and parents who continue to build something special.
A special congratulations to Ryse, who became the 3rd athlete from the team to qualify for the finals at Nationals. Rylan Bahr(who qualified for finals last year) & Ryse Garrison both competed individually Out of 1493 male athletes competing. Ryse earned a spot in the top 400 advancing to the final round. He finished 298 in the nation, shooting a 93/100 against some of the best shooters in the country. Rylan just missed the cut but he gave it everything he had!
The scores and rankings are exciting, but what makes me the most proud is the dedication, discipline, sportsmanship, and perseverance these athletes demonstrate every week. This team continues to raise the bar, and the future is bright for SWH Shooting Team.
Congratulations, Ryse, and congratulations to the entire SWH Shooting Team on a historic season! We have had Some big wins, some tough competition, some new friendships forged, and some tough learning opportunities too. We will be back next year stronger!!
