Dojos can join and even opt to provide a portal for their students to practice at home, keep abreast of dojo news, and swap their used equipment. THE STORY
As parents of young martial artists, we see the need for an organized and informative approach to this encompassing art. We felt helpless when our young martial artists ask questions like “Is this right?” “Does my foot point this way?” “What stance comes next?” We spent countless hours researching tournament requirements from dress code and weapons specifications to kata/forms rules. Finding new and used equipment was frustrating. Information we received can be misleading and outright wrong. Dojo web sites are often neglected and outdated. We found that many dojo owners simply don’t have the time to maintain and update their site and share all of the information necessary to improve your skills. So we decided to create something huge and the idea for DojoHelper was born. THE CONCEPT
During months of research, development and planning, we have created DojoHelper to be a super easy to use, all-inclusive online martial arts tool that will inspire your practice like nothing you've seen before. DojoHelper was developed with specific goals in mind: Create an amazing martial arts experience, provide necessary information and resources to remove uncertainties, supply a storefront to sell your outgrown gear and buy new equipment, and offer personalized portals for dojo owners to take their business to the next level. Based on these principles we developed a web site that is filled with Sensei-level or above martial artists providing video and picture tutorials of katas, stances, punches and kicks. DojoHelper lets you connect with your friends or other martial artists from around the world. You can share your frustrations and your knowledge, chat with your martial arts buddies and do your training together. Whether you're a beginner or have been practicing or years, DojoHelper will keep you busy and learning. Once DojoHelper is running smoothly, we want to give back. We will administer a non-profit charity to aide aspiring martial arts get into the dojo of their choice. THE FEATURES
