Summer Trails Update: Our hiking and biking trails are open to the public and ready to ride! Our trail maintenance team has been hard at work cleaning up trails across the mountain to get them ready for summer. There is still some snow on a few sections of trail, so please take it slow and use caution.

All 18 holes of Discwood at Timber Creek are also open. More information on all of our summer activities, including trail maps, is available on our website:

Disc golf baskets are officially in at Timber Creek, and the course is ready to play!

Discs are available to rent at the General Store, open daily from 8am - 5pm. Scorecards and course maps are available online and at the store.

Please note: there are still some downed branches on trails between baskets that our trail crew hasn’t cleared yet. Take it slow + have fun out there ☀️

We’re incredibly excited to share that Kirkwood has received the Golden Eagle Award for Innovation in Sustainability for our on-site wood mill program 🎉

Each spring, our team removes fallen and hazard trees as part of ongoing wildfire mitigation and forest health work. Those trees are brought to our on-site mill, where they are turned into lumber and repurposed into functional pieces such as tuning benches, lift signage, decking, and other infrastructure used across the mountain.

This recognition is a reflection of the passion and commitment our rockstar sustainability team brings to their work every single day. A huge thank you to for continuing to support and advance sustainability efforts across the ski industry.

Behind every storm day, powder lap, and bluebird morning is the team that makes Kirkwood run. As we take a moment to look back on this winter season, we want to recognize the people who make it possible for us to do what we love most: ski and ride.

Tonight’s the night!!! Join us for our 2nd Annual Squid Fest Film Showcase from 3:30-6:30pm in the Red Cliffs Club. Watch short films created by our Tahoe community + vote for your favorite to take home the grand prize. Films will start around 4:30/4:45pm.
