All NMFC practices will take place as scheduled tonight, Tuesday, September 1.

While temperatures are expected to be similar to yesterday, humidity is forecast to be considerably lower. Based on the U.S. Soccer heat guidelines, conditions are expected to remain below the cancellation threshold, but heat modifications will still be necessary.

Coaches will provide additional water/rest breaks throughout practices tonight, and players should have unlimited access to water. Please make sure your player comes prepared with plenty of water.

Game jerseys for REC (should you need replacements) will be available at the shack tonight during your players practice.

Hello NMFC,

This is your final reminder that registration for our Recreational program closes TOMORROW August 9. Our U8 & U10 age groups are full, but please register for our waitlist if your player is still interested as we may be able to form additional teams if coaches and field space are available. (You will not be charged unless your player is moved off of the waitlist.) We will not be accepting late registrations, so make sure you submit your registration by August 9!

Note that US Soccer age groups are now based on a school-year format, rather than a calendar-year format. (You can read more about that here.) A player's age group may be DIFFERENT than it was in the Spring 2026 season, even if a player has not had a birthday since last season. In addition, some players with fall birthdays may be in the same age group for a third year under this new format. ***If you think your player should be in an older age group than their birthday provides, please register them for their birthday age group and then email me seeking permission to “play up.” DO NOT change their birth year in the system!***

Registration is now OPEN for our Fall Recreational Soccer Program!

📅 Recreational Registration Deadline: August 9
💰 Register by July 19 and save $5 on your registration fee!

Please note that we will NOT be accepting late registrations this season, so be sure to get your player registered before the August 9 deadline.

🚨 Travel Soccer Families: Registration will only remain open for ONE MORE DAY to allow enough time for ordering jerseys for new players before the first games of the season. Travel registration fees are currently estimates, and players will not be charged until they are moved off the waiting list after registration closes.

⚽ Important Age Group Update:
US Soccer has moved to a school-year age grouping system instead of the previous calendar-year format. Your player's age group may be different than it was in Spring 2026, even if they have not had a birthday since last season.

If you believe your player should "play up" in an older age group, please register them in their birthday-designated age group first and then email us to request permission. Please do NOT change your player's birth year in GotSport.

⚽ NMFC Fall Travel Registration is NOW OPEN! ⚽

We’re excited to announce that registration for our 2026 Fall Travel Season is open now through July 14th! NMFC travel teams have a strong tradition of regional success, and we’re looking forward to building on that legacy this season.

A few important things to know:

✔ Open to players entering 4th–8th grade in Fall 2026
✔ Registration does not guarantee placement on a travel roster — all players will begin on a waitlist while coaches review registrations and finalize teams
✔ Final roster assignments will be announced by the end of July

REMINDER:

Weather permitting, we will host our first player assessment tonight for any players (fall 4th-8th graders) interested in joining/playing on a travel team roster this coming fall.

**As of this posting, there appears to be rain chances through the afternoon but the evening after 6pm looks to be clear.**

If you have not signed your player up yet and would like to do so, please use the Google form link below. In addition to tonight, we will also host events on the evenings or Tuesday, June 23rd and Monday, June 29th. Players born between August 2015-July 2017 (U10 and U11) should arrive between 5:45-6:00; players born between August 2012-July 2015 (U12, U13 and U14) should arrive between 7:00-7:15. All assessment events with be hosted at the NMFC grass field across the street from the YMCA. Unless approved otherwise, all fall travel players will need to participate in at least one of these events.

⚽ NMFC Travel Soccer – Fall 2026 Evaluations ⚽

As we begin preparing for the upcoming fall season, we will be hosting a series of player evaluation events during the month of June for both returning and new travel players!

These events are open to all athletes entering 4th–8th grade this fall and will help us:
✅ Gauge interest in travel soccer across age divisions
✅ Introduce new players and families to our travel program
✅ Allow coaches to evaluate player skills and development
✅ Provide parents an opportunity to meet with our Travel Program Director and ask questions during Q&A sessions held alongside each event

📅 Evaluation Dates:
• June 17
• June 23
• June 29

*****TIGER ALERT******Calling all Tiger fans, family, and friends! If you have always said, “I want to catch a Lady Tigers Soccer game this season,” NOW IS THE TIME. Kirksville Lady Tigers (10-5-1) take on the Marshall Owls (13-3) Monday, May 4 at Spainhower Field. Varsity kicks off at 5 p.m. The Tigers knocked off the owls 1-0 in tournament play early in the season, and the Owls struck back with a 2-0 defeat in Marshall two weeks ago. But this one’s in our house, on our turf, and we’re ready to ROAR! Kirksville has won six in a row, Marshall has won 8 straight. It’s STAR WARS night at Spainhower and free lightsabers to the first 150 fans. Come joins us and support your Kirksville Lady TIgers! Join the ROAR!
