🚨HELP US PROTECT OUR PARKS🚨
Over the past month, the Kirksville Parks & Recreation Department has seen a noticeable increase in vandalism throughout our parks and recreation facilities. The damage in these photos is just a small example of what our staff have been dealing with.
Vandalism isn’t just about a broken sign, damaged restroom, spray-painted wall, or destroyed piece of equipment. Every act of vandalism costs time and money to repair — money that could otherwise be used to improve our parks, add new amenities, maintain facilities, or provide more programs for our community.
We need your help. 👀
If you see someone vandalizing a park or recreation facility, please report it rather than confronting the person yourself. Take note of the location, time, and description of what you see, if it is safe to do so.
📞 Kirksville Parks & Recreation: Report vandalism to our department so we can address the damage and document the incident.
🚔 Kirksville Police Department: If you witness vandalism occurring or believe a crime is actively taking place, contact the Kirksville Police Department.
