Happy Birthday to the incredible woman behind so much of what makes our studio feel like home!

There truly aren’t enough words to express how much we love and appreciate you. The amount of time, heart, hard work, and dedication you pour into this studio and into every single person who walks through its doors is something so special.

You have taught generations of dancers so much more than technique, performance, and how to become stronger, more beautiful dancers. You teach them how to be kind, confident, hardworking, compassionate, and gracious human beings. You see the person before the dancer, and you have a way of making each student feel loved, important, and capable of more than they ever thought possible.

You are one of the most loving, hardworking, hilarious, and generous people we know. You light up every room you walk into, you make people laugh when they need it most, and you continually go above and beyond for everyone around you — often in ways people may never even realize.

Our studio is what it is because of the love you have poured into it year after year, and we are all better because we have had the privilege of being loved, encouraged, challenged, and taught by you.

We hope today you feel even a small portion of the love and appreciation that you give to everyone else so freely. We love you so much and are incredibly thankful for you. Happy Birthday!

Congratulations to Jane Ann Moots for winning the Overall Talent Award at last night’s Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen event. We knew your dance routine would shine spectacularly ❤️. And, good luck. JA, from all of our instructors and students in tonight’s

Lela Neeley is the daughter of Aaron and Katrina Neeley, and has been dancing at the studio since moving here from Iowa. She has been a member of KHS Dance Team and Color Guard for all 4 years of high school, as well as Tri-M for 3 years, where she served as secretary. Lela served as senior class president in Student Council and section leader of Color Guard for 2 years. She maintained a 4.0 + gpa in high school.
Lela received the Rising Ballerina Award in 4th grade, several top 10, top 5, and first place awards in competition solos, duets, and groups and has been selected for national dance teams of competitions. She was All-American all 3 years she attended UDA Camp. Most recently, Lela auditioned and was selected as a Truman State University Show Girl.
Lela’s favorite dance memories center around the total competition experience at the many dance and talent competitions she has attended. Her favorite dances have been Miss Sydney’s (Graves) fun and challenging hip hop dances.
Lela plans to attend Truman State University pursuing a Masters of Education degree in Elementary Education and to stay involved with the
Studio. Lela is grateful for her years of dance because, “Dance has taught me the importance of hard work and not to be afraid to take risks, and I want to thank Miss Marcia for providing the environment and offering her support to me through the years.”
