Today is the 68th birthday of Masao Kagawa Sensei.

Masao Kagawa is currently one of the most technical instructors in the world belonging to the Shotokan lineage. Such proficiency has allowed him to serve as a coach for the Japanese national karate team and as chairman of the National Coaches Committee of the Japan Karate-Dō Federation (JKF). In addition, Masao Kagawa also served as chairman of the Technical Committee of the World Karate Federation (WKF), and heads the Japan Karate Shōtō Federation (JKS), founded by the late master Tetsuhiko Asai.
